I guess it makes sense if they intend to sell JWP next month. Better to give a young player some further first team exposure - even if that is just sat on the bench - than pick someone who is not in your plans. But yes, I personally would have JWP in the squad.
I know we all have a soft spot for JWP but in 5 years and 125 appearances he's only scored 10 goals with 17 assists. It's not enough.
I was reading about this yesterday lunchtime. It’s a rare condition and roughly affects 50% of all football fans. I think they called the condition ‘Homegrown Blindness’ or something like that.
