I'm so with you on this, sponsors influencing teams and players is a massive ball ache. I'm not sure of the year but I remember Brazil having to play Ronaldo in the final of the world cup, even though he was blatantly injured. They bring huge money, but I would be wary of to much influence.

didn't see much future at Man City so refused contract offer and went to BD as they clearly offered him possibility of playing in fact they recalled him from the U17 WC in 2017 . He looked an absolute star in the age groups but rumour is Man City have buy back option on him.
