Like you 1964 I very much prefer attending rather than watching on TV but sometimes it's not possible but I'm still desperate to see us play. This PPV option seems to be the way the game is going, which in part is why so many Championship owners/chairmen were upset at the haste in which the new Sky contract was agreed by the FL. The question is how many are actually prepared to pay when there are illegal but free streams still available ? Now I had you and Heidi very much in mind when I wrote the initial post as you both must spend an absolute fortune following the team home and away. At least this season, so far at least you probably think it's worth it but I'm sure in seasons past you've had to at least consider other alternatives (not you Heidi obviously). Now for the Bolton (a) game there were over 4,000 watching on the the illegal stream I watched and so it's not beyond the imagination to think that the total number could be in excess of 10,000 which at £10 per person would represent a significant amount to the club. Surely it would be better and more fair that we all contribute financially to the club rather than just those who either attend matches or in a more indirect manner through TV subscriptions etc. The problem as we all know with Sky etc is that the money is shared between all clubs in the FL and I can fully understand the thinking of many that they are unwilling to see their hard earned income shared or contributing to the ridiculous wages players earn. If you don't have Sky and it was possible to pay £10 to watch every game how many would do so ? This is one of the burning questions in football at the moment and I suspect the answer is most would not. It's likely they would expect you me and everyone else who financially commits to our club to continue to do so whilst they support for free. All that is fine but maybe it's important to remember as we go into our centenary year that if everyone took that attitude then there would not be a professional club to support. These are just some thoughts aimed at football supporters in general and not directly at anyone on here...thought it best to point that out before anyone gets their knickers in a twist.
Read that... Bit out of the blue... don’t think he’s had u23 action has he? That’s the usual pathway.
£10 a ticket? Outrageous. I blame orta. Seriously, I can’t get to many games... i’d buy season ticket to watch all Leeds games streamed if one were available.
Villa have shown intention to progress and have signed top croation goalie on a long deal. Wondet not a bad idea that ..........for you
it's unfair to british as it's only £5 for overseas viewers.but it's £10 for brits...question here is Eire included in the brit price ?
At £10 a game, I’d expect a ‘platinum plastic’ card... Offering 10% off home pie delivery service and a premium ‘at the game’ experience. Perhaps a free airplay speaker to place behind you, programmed to shout ‘fcking useless Cnut, get im off’ every time alioski got the ball?
DJ Iain Lee helps save suicidal caller live on his radio show He kept the caller on the line until an ambulance found him DJ Iain Lee has kept a suicidal caller on the line for half an hour while emergency services were able to reach him after he revealed he had taken an overdose. The man, only known as ‘Chris’, called into the former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here contestant’s TalkRadio showon Wednesday night. After ‘Chris’ said that he had taken a dangerous cocktail of drugs, Lee held him on the line until an ambulance was able to reach him. The caller said that he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, and was near a nightclub in Plymouth. He was nearly 60, and had listened to Lee’s show for around a year. At one point, he told the DJ “I do want to die, Iain.” Lee replied: “Shut up, man, I know you want to die, brother, but I love you. I love you. You may want to die, but we can talk about that tomorrow.” Iain Lee - talkRADIO Tonight we took a call from a man who had taken an overdose. He was lying in a street in Plymouth, dying. We managed to keep him online, get a description of what he looked like and was wearing, work out where he was and send an ambulance and police to him. Kept him on the phone Iain Lee - talkRADIO for 30 minutes while he got harder to understand. Long periods of silence where I thought he'd died. ****, that was intense and upsetting. Thanks for your kind words. I really hope he makes it. "Tonight we took a call from a man who had taken an overdose," Lee tweeted on Thursday. "He was lying in a street in Plymouth, dying. We managed to keep him online, get a description of what he looked like and was wearing, work out where he was and send an ambulance and police to him." "Long periods of silence where I thought he'd died." "****, that was intense and upsetting. Thanks for your kind words. I really hope he makes it." Iain Lee has been very open about his own mental issues on his radio show and on podcasts.
I would too, and I think both discounted season and pay as you go options would be on the table to maximise revenues. As long as LUTV were up to it it would be great for fans who currently have no option but illegal streams. But is there not some ban on broadcasting UK league matches live in the UK at 3pm on a Saturday?
Correct Davy. There 's an old FA rule that the Prem League and the EFL still abide by. There can be no authorised live televised football between 2.45pm and 5.15 pm on a Saturday. That's why you have to watch games that start around midday or about 5.30pm to be outside that window.
Given the miracles Bielsa has performed with the squad, if he thinks Van La Parra is worth the investment, fine by me £5m may seem a little steep, but if he helps us get promotion, nobody here will be complaining.
Bielsa has said again today. Anyone who comes in must be better than the player he replaces and we have less players than we started the season with. Blackman was considered the best keeper at the club so any keeper who comes in will be No1 Saiz is recognised by Bielsa as the most skillful creative match winner at the club, so anyone replacing him needs to be a top top player
Thought it wasn't aimed at anyone in particular, then you mention our fans who like to go in gay bars getting their knickers twisted.
Not my interpretation doc..., he says it would be good to get players better than those that have left but not easy. He sates that additions need to be better than we have... ie improve the squad. We don’t have Blackman any more (or Saiz) So his minimum requirement for a new keeper is he needs to be better than Huffer. By the by. Was Blackman considered the best keeper at the club? Blackman never played a championship game for Leeds. He was clearly fit and well versed in his role well before bielsa finally decided to try him on the back of a drop of form from bpf. Appreciate your view is different but Feedback i’ve Had from those that regularly watched the u23s weren’t sold on Blackman.. his distribution in particular. He made mistakes in the first team games he did play for us and ironically had a shocker the u23 game he broke his leg. Bielsa picked his words carefully when calling him the best young English keeper... knowing bpf was from NI from a football perspective. Any keeper we sign may be as no 1, but my interpretation is the logic is flawed to assume it has to be so.
Shocked to see Liverpool starting with Milner tonight, if he gets injured, it will **** up his move to us.
Milky all I can say is please go back to his interview when he told BPF that he was being dropped in favor of Blackman, then fast forward to the prezzer where he told everyone Blackman was the best keeper at the club and he had taken a while to get up to speed and be fit enough to take his rightful position, he also said it was a testament that BPF was making hit hard to drop him until now, but unfortunate he got injured. He also said Blackman was one of the best keepers in the Championship and we were sorry to see him go. I never see Bielsa tell white lies or pee up anyones back so I deduce Blackman was his No1 and was ready to take over
