The first time he was interviewed I wanted to catch and record every word that he said, in order to try to understand his motivation, his perspective etc. I wasted hours transcribing his original 40 minute exchange with Jim White and learned nothing at all beyond what we already knew about him. That he is supremely disinterested and deluded. For me the novelty wore off pretty quick. Nothing he says now is of any interest at all. He either sells the Club or he doesn't. And I don't believe he is serious about selling it. Either he is the worst salesman in history, or his price is far too high. Why else would nobody have stepped up in the last 20 months and closed the deal on a London Club with a decent stadium and a great catchment area for potentially rebuilding the fan base. Merry Christmas Roland
When asked whether he would still sell if we go up he was pretty cagey, nothing like "Oh I should have sold before then". So he's still giving nothing away. The fact that he's struck lucky with BowJacko may well have made him more determined to hold out for his valuation.
And to you Ernie , my dealings with Roland I stand by he is a cute well mannered and a honest old fruit
I see you have entered into the Christmas spirit …. I am rather partial to a single malt myself or even a Jack Daniel's Single Barrel
