    Johnson calls for repeat performance
    Wednesday, December 19th 2018Forums

Lee Johnson has asked for a repeat of the team cohesion and spirit shown against Norwich City when the Robins face Derby County (Saturday, December 22nd, KO 3pm)

City fought back from a goal down to level through Famara Diédhiou and then led via Callum O’Dowda before a late Max Aarons equaliser shared the spoils.

Speaking to BCTV, Johnson said: “I was very pleased with the performance against Norwich City and we need to go to Derby in a similar vein. We need to work hard first and foremost and be consistent with our passing patterns and our cohesion. If we do then we will be a problem for a good Derby side but if we don’t then they will pick holes in us.

“It’s essential that we play with that togetherness and team spirit that we’ve had for the last four or five games. Our away form has been decent and it’s important that we chip away and pick up points away from home, but we’ve got to do both, home and away.”

Derby County are in fourth place in the SkyBet Championship and Johnson is relishing another opportunity against top-six opposition.

“Opposition style does have a bearing on the game but it’s up to us to play with our identity and our philosophy and for that to come out,” he said.

“We have to manage the game and going to a place like Pride Park, having played there myself, I know how the crowd can get whipped up. But we saw that at Birmingham and managed that well to nullify, contain and then score our goal.”

Think City won't lose against Derby.
I watched bits against Forest and was expecting better, in fact I thought Forest looked the better side on the night.

Have a big bet on the Reds Rp, you may get your money back from you loss at Brum.

I can’t predict any of our games anymore. It depends on which City side turns up on the day.
I suppose that makes it difficult for Lampard to plan for !!!!!

I could never concentrate in class my thoughts were always on sport, thick as a badgers ass I was but I live in the Forest of Dean in a lovely park home paid for by hard work, not bad for someone who couldn't put two sentences together, punctuation well that's something else. :)

Sky Sports pundit makes Derby County v Bristol City prediction
The Rams take on the Robins at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday

Derby County will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Sky Bet Championship when they face Bristol City this weekend.

The Rams welcome the Robins to Pride Park Stadium on Saturday, and go into the fixture without a defeat in their last three league games.

Victories over Swansea City and Wigan Athletic were followed up by a goalless draw with arch rivals Nottingham Forest on Monday night.

Frank Lampard’s side currently lie in fourth place in the league table, and take on a Bristol City side who are 14th and go into the fixture on the back of a 2-2 draw with Norwich City last week.

Ahead of the match, former Nottingham Forest midfielder and current Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has made his weekly Rams prediction.

Prutton reckons that Derby will claim a 3-1 win over Lee Johnson’s side, and strengthen their position in the Championship table.
