I'm not Adkins biggest fan, but he's surpassed my expectations in recent weeks. I'm not going to go overboard, I've still seen his team put in some absolutely dreadful performances, but recent weeks have seen an unexpected upturn. So whilst I criticise if I feel its due, its only fair I hand out plaudits when someone is doing well, especially in difficult conditions. Fingers crossed he can keep it going, but the pessimist in me (given the owners we have makes it difficult to think otherwise) says he can't; hope he proves me wrong! I have an horrible feeling that if the squad isn't weakened further next month, it sure as hell is looking that way come Summer next year. Anyway, in the meantime Nigel, well done, fingers crossed you are able to keep it going!
I am not a fan of Mr. Positive but we all should applaud what a job job he has done in the most difficult circumstances. As Kemps says lots will depend on Transfer Window and we hope we can hold onto our last gems. Losing Irvine for the Asia Cup also a massive blow. We are still 5 players short of a full squad so you must give Nige some credit for what he has done.
I’d say he’s probably the best or one of the best 3 managers in the league we are very lucky to have him.
Oh yeah absolutely. Have you seen how clever them Octopus are? Bit wyrd like, what with them having five brains and three hearts. But yeah, it's ****ing amazing!
just as i said adkins is one of the best coaches in the championship we can't challenge close to the play offs with this squad, but we will never go down just as he kept us up last season and this seasons squad is massively worse than the last it's took it's time january will be worrying though, if elphick goes, plus we can't expect campbell to keep carrying us, even when he doesn't score never seen a harder working footballer think he's been an absoultely amazing signing since he rejoined plus he's scoring a fair bit recently chris martin is a fat scottish **** useless not being keeping an eye on potential ownerships cause it's never gonna happen so what does january leave us with?
As all managers and head coaches will acknowledge, football is a results business. Keep it going Nige and certainly hope the two muppets you work for keep the current squad, which is already low on numbers in certain positions, together during January which I reckon is the best we can hope for. Any movement I suspect will be one out, one in, but with the Allams in charge don't expect anything other than the worst. Would welcome Elphick back should Villa sign a couple of defenders and decide to release him on loan again during this transfer window. Flashbacks to Joyce's great escape with this bunch of players, clearly all working together and proving the doubters wrong, including me!
As do I. There is no doubting his motivational skills, his positivity. We looked good in the warm up was his take on a stuffing. Yea Ok Nige, but he has brought a togetherness to the squad. More sports psychology than coaching.
The players reaction to Martin scoring was a joy to watch and spoke volumes about the togetherness in the squad.
