Yet another glowing NCFC article Ending like this: "At precisely the time when a season of struggle would have been excusable, Farke has taken Norwich in the opposite direction. If this is proof that the Championship is eternally impossible to predict, it's also emphatic evidence that carefree spending on transfer fees and wages isn't the only strategy to achieve promotion. Other clubs in the top six might do well to remember that." https://www.fourfourtwo.com/feature...ampionship-can-learn-daniel-farke-and-norwich
Yes Cromer, I read that and thought what a good article it was. Also seen this - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...heir-pick-from-the-managerial-merry-go-round/ I thought this was articularly pertinent –‘Big Sam’s record of never being relegated is hugely impressive; his style of football less so. The man himself, claims to be a progressive coach and a student of the game who has travelled far and wide in search of different footballing philosophies. If he really has scoured the globe only to bring back his particular brand of ‘football’, it’s the equivalent of going on holiday to Spain and coming back with a straw donkey. But it works. Or rather, it works up until the point that with the job done and the threat of relegation a distant memory, fans and owners start to demand something better and more pleasing on the eye.’ I vaguely remember one or two posters on here who would have loved to have seen Big Sam/TP/Woy at the helm at CR, but I’ve never wavered from wanting DF to succeed and I know that those of us who can get to games are delighted with the turnaround in our playing style and meteoric rise up the table.
So our game V Leeds on 2nd Feb will Kick Off at 5.30 and be on Sky!!! Our game V Brum is now on Friday 18th Jan! #nothoughtforfans
Unfortunately -JM ,He who pays the piper calls the tune. As I cannot attend Friday games, another one missed.
Good analysis of Todd Cantwell's play so far this season: ://www.mediareferee.com/2018/12/14/81-3-pass-accuracy-17-successful-dribbles-and-18-key-passes-is-this-20-year-old-norwich-citys-breakthrough-star/

3 games selected by Sky in the new year (sorry if mentioned elsewhere already. Brum - Fri Jan 18th 19.45. Leeds - Sat Feb 2nd 5.30. Lambert's faltering army - Sun Feb 10th 12 noon. https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city...&utm_source=eshot&utm_campaign=newsletterlink
Excellent article from Robin Sainty and think this excerpt really sums things up - 'With so little time left and a free-kick on halfway after Ameobi’s sending off, how many teams would have shoved their big men up and ‘stuck it in the mixer’? Not City, who simply did what they would have done at any other point and played it short, waited for the opening and took it.' https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/robin-sainty-ahead-of-bristol-city-1-5818628
Another article highlighting the Canaries’ emergence as Championship promotion contenders as we approach the mid-way point in the league and one of the most interesting points for me is that we’ve achieved it with JR being our only loan player (unlike some other teams in the chasing pack!!!) 'A promotion push at Carrow Road looked unlikely when the Canaries were forced to make budget cuts in the summer, but Daniel Storey explains how the Norfolk outfit have exceeded expectations this term.' https://www.fourfourtwo.com/feature...ampionship-can-learn-daniel-farke-and-norwich
Now a 9 point gap (chasm??) to 7th!!!! Bring on Forest on Boxing Day!!!!! Edit - Looks good and let's hope we can add 3 points on Saturday.
Great article from Stewart Lewis comparing our points tally/Goals scored at a similar stage last season - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...istics-but-sometimes-stats-do-tell-the-story/
Enjoyed the article and even managed to come up with the 2x2 goalscorer when the question was first asked. With one more game to go to reach the season's halfway point, we're still averaging the magic 2 points per match that could assure automatic promotion (92 points from 46 games). The encouraging thing is that we've done that in spite of the poor results early on and in spite of numerous injuries to key players. Other players have come in and done the job seamlessly while mighty Leeds go on moaning about their injuries. We now have a balanced and deep squad which can cope with whatever happens. Normally at this time we'd be champing at the bit to see what new players will come in, but we already have the players we need to push on for promotion. There's much to feel confident about as we move into the second half of the season.
Stiepermann tops Sky Power Rankings! That's a big shock. I know he's been good, but to be top of the rankings... https://www.skysports.com/football/...-rankings-norwich-citys-marco-stiepermann-top
Stiepermann has certainly been the surprise of the season so far. Good to see Aarons at 8th as well and we're well represented right through the table.
Excellent article from David Hannant on our prospects for promotion - https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/david-hannant-norwich-city-football-column-2012-1-5825045
