  1. In some ways I really admire Theresa May. In recent weeks she has stood at the dispatch box for hours whilst MPs from all parties (and various wings of the same parties) have said their piece. She might not have been called a stupid woman by those in her own party but the language and tone used by certain Tory MPs (ReesMogg and Francois in particular) would never have been employed had it been a man standing there. As it happens, I reserve my strongest condemnation for the adjectives used to describe Esther McVey's discussions in that notorious cabinet meeting - highly strung, emotional, aggressive, erratic - pretty unpalatable as they wouldn't have been used against Johnson, Hammond or whoever.
Corbyn uses it and he's the Antichrist.

There's a lot of moral outrage going on there. Probably 90% of British people have used (if silently) the expression 'stupid woman', or 'stupid man' at some time in their lives. And probably just as many think that TM is stupid, and we know that she is a woman - so why is it morally outrageous to combine the two ? If I called her 'stupid person' would it be better - or an example of 'speciesism', ie. prejudiced against humans. If the implication were there that Corbyn thinks that she is stupid because she is a woman, then this could be different. If they can find a rod to beat Corbyn with then they will use it. The fact is that her reaction tells us a great deal - she apparently flies up at perceived insults from Tusk (something about cherry cakes). She is further outraged by something which was said by Juncker (which also wasn't personal) - and now, yet again, we have the same mock outrage from her. How would a real statesman (sorry statesperson) have reacted in these different situations ?

If you close the shutters and turn the power off you won't see a thing.

  5. I hadn't noticed her outrage - it was others on her behalf as far as I could see. But my point was it's ok for everyone else to do it but not JC. Mind he doesn't help himself as he should know by now.

Corbyn is a bumbling fool but not in the nasty class like his sidekick, McDonnell. This cretin has spoken about 'lynching' a Tory MP, assassinating Margaret Thatcher, and honouring the IRA. Corbyn's weak and petty performance yesterday will undoubtedly result in Labour falling further behind in the polls.

Can you supply evidence about wanting to assassinate Margaret Thatcher ( a bit late for this!), also the lynching of MPs, because this all sounds a bit libelous. To be honest I am not over enthusiastic about Corbyn's performances throughout this entire Brexit fiasco however he is not the PM and is, therefore, judged by different criteria. The Tories have given us the 2 worst Prime Ministers in British history in rapid succession, we can't afford a third.

McDonnell's comments are well known, it shouldn't take you too long to find them.

I find it quite sad to see the government in crisis, the cabinet split, civil war amongst the back benchers, Gatwick at a standstill, strikes on the railways, people spending Christmas on doorways, an explosion in food bank use, and somehow this is all the fault of Corbyn. As much as I have always felt he is not suitable to lead the party, I cannot see how any of these problems can be laid at his door. Great diversionary tactics of course.

Nobody forced the hapless Corbyn to say 'stupid women' during a televised PMQ's. May was wiping the floor with him but he should have engaged his brain before his rash response. He has clearly shown he is not up to a proper job, thankfully the public can also see this.

Could be much worse, we could be having people dying in mass civil unrest, police taking industrial action, a hated President, high unemployment, exploding national debt. You really should be more concerned with your adopted country.

Meanwhile the government continues in the most shambolic way imaginable, and why? Because they took a chance on winning a large majority, and failed to even maintain the one they had. Really just about as silly as saying a couple of words, except their failures are impacting on the everyday lives of those who shouldn't have to put up with this infighting.

There is some debate about exactly what he said and I would not accuse him of lying about the matter - which would be the far more serious accusation. Did he say 'Stupid People', as he claims - in which case he would have been referring to all the government and would have had the agreement of a vast majority of the electorate. Did he say 'Stupid Woman' - in which case around 60% of the electorate would agree. If he said 'Stupid Women' ie. referring to all of the said species, then Diane Abbott and Yvette Cooper would also have been up in arms. TM often springs out of her skin at times like this - she did it with Tusk and Juncker as well - so called perceived insults, which were nothing of the kind. All mock outrage and show because the Tories have no other weapons at their disposal.
