Similar story when I (in a complete brain fart moment) put fairy liquid into the dishwasher (we had dishwasher tablets so there was no excuse) ...... major foam attack in the kitchen and the need to get the dishwasher repair man in. First question he asked? “Which idiot put washing up liquid in here?” I wasn’t a popular person ......
Today I saw an ad that said "radio for sale, £1, volume stuck on full." I thought, "I can't turn that down."
I called up the doctor and said, "Doctor, my wife is going into labour and her contractions are coming really fast! What should I do?" "Is this her first child?" he asked. "No, this is her husband."
Yea not one of my better moves, though to be fair it was a pretty mild **** up for me. I’ve done majorly worse.
During the dispute between the Junior doctors over the imposition of new contracts, I saw one of their demonstrations on the TV news and decided to go along with a bag of ice-cubes. It didn’t go down that well to be honest. It turns out that what they were demanding was Justice.
Changed back Chilcs- sounded too much like animal cruelty. RRH it is. Until I think of a gag, obviously
I was sent this article today from a colleague. It is very interesting reading. To summarise, Riverford Organics, one of the largest fresh, organic veg homedelivery companies, with a ‘green’ image know that they should switch their delivery boxes from cardboard to plastic ones due to environmental effects. They haven’t because of the fear of what customers would think. The article is from 8 years ago, before the media frenzy that started last November. Today, they still use cardboard boxes. 8 more years of unnecessarily increased environmental damage. It highlights, as our discussion this week did, that the media are educating the public and educating them falsely. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2010/mar/31/plastics-cardboard?CMP=share_btn_link
Really interesting read - I never really thought of plastic like that. Does show that we believe what the government/media what us to.
Planes not landing or taking off from Gatwick thanks to drones on the flight path in. This has been going on since 9pm yesterday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/localnews/6296598-Gatwick Airport/0 Drones fly for about an hour maximum (so I'm told) so someone's planned this. Vin
