This really isn't hard to understand. Maybe you're a bit wasted, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

I don't like losing the NLD. Whether it's a league game, European game, friendly or U23s.

However, some NLDs hold more significance than others. A league game will always be a better NLD to win than a League Cup NLD. Especially because the league game will have more of an impact on our season objectives than a domestic cup competition will.

Case in point - tonight. Not happy we lost, but would have been a lot more ****ed off if we'd lost a few weeks back. Because the league is bread and butter. The League Cup is insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

How long did you lot celebrate your 2-1 in the league cup against us a few years back? Started tearing down our signs after that one iirc? Didn't matter though, eh? The one that matters is the one that gave you a bit of a gap on the sides battling for 6th.

A result not mattering at all and a result not being that significant are two different things.

You either understand that or you don't.

To be honest, I think you're just deliberately being difficult.

  11. Threats of a potential 'playing behind closed doors' won't concern them. Certainly not from any potential loss of atmosphere.... <laugh>

Maybe you think you've proved something with this post, but you seriously haven't.

Keep making as many digs as you want, though. It's 1-1 between both our clubs now.

Looking forward to the fixture at Wembley/MK Dons/wherever. We'll see if you're still this mouthy then <ok>

"Wait until the next game", well yeah, that's how it works. Are derbies a new discovery to you? In the meantime have a thumb through the dictionary when you get a chance.

Anyway, I think we've taken up enough of this thread with a squabble.

The reason we lost the league game against Arsenal was because the Goons had a full weeks rest and a full week to prepare, whereas we had a tough mid week game in the CL, they were able to rest their first XI for their midweek game against a load of goat farmers. It showed on the pitch, they had more energy in the league game, tonight the fatigue levels were even and our better class showed.
