Okay time to get in on the act and do the Match Day Thread, l mean how hard can it be. So the way l see it is this...... The wonderful, sacred and much loved, magnificent Newcastle United are going to play some team from down South called Fulham. Both teams will have 11 players on the field which will consist of 10 outfield players and a goalkeeper. Both teams will have some other blokes sitting down on a bench, these blokes known as subs may run up and down the touch line a bit. Well Fulham will start with 10 outfield players until one certain Alexander Mitrovic gets red carded for dropping the nut on the referee and sticking his whistle up his arse. The ref that is not Mitro’s. Match Day conditions, It may be cold, it may be wet, it may be windy, it could possibly snow, who knows. Newcastle United are managed by a very sexy Spaniard called Rafa (much loved by GLITF) he is a tactical genius of much foxiness. He will have a cunning plan. Fulham are managed by some bloke who’s name l can’t remember, sorry, so l don’t know if he is sexy or cunning. Predictions..... someone will win, someone will lose, unless of course it’s a draw. That all depends on who kicks the small orbital sphere into the stringy thing the most times. Okay we all clear.
If we lose I will place the blame solely on this thread. You can’t just jump from two matchday threads to four without first trying three...you just don’t do that, it’s asking for trouble! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Didn’t say l could count man! Don’t start with your excuses, if we lose it ain’t gonna be my fault. In case you guys hadn’t noticed, l have no faults, so it cannot be my fault, if any fault could be found, it deffo won’t be mine. I blame Brexit.
Have to be honest Cro’ unless that money comes through PDQ then I’m shifting allegiance. Great thread this one. Chippy could learn a lot from this...mind Chippy could learn a lot from anything given how low his starting threshold is.
Thanks Groot, l was very concerned that my in depth explanation of the beautiful game coupled with the highly intelligent dissection of the tactical nuances deployed, may have been just a tad too complex for the average poster on this forum (JPF excluded of course) to grasp. I am so glad l pitched it just about right.
In all honesty I appreciated the cheeky word play combined with the subtle shades of analysis which lifted this above the other somewhat lacking MD threads. Plus Cro’ ain’t come through with the spondoolies yet. You’re wrong about it being a tad too complex for the average poster on this forum though. It’s too complex for all of them...except, if I can say with all humbleness and humility, me.
