Only the materialistic ones that kept their "just in case" properties. Those that sold up might find it a little more difficult...

You do not address the ridiculous statement you made, but attempt in a rather pathetic way to divert attention again to cover up your embarrassment. Yes thanks to you and your fellow leave voters many people will lose some of their current rights, but nowhere do they talk about kicking out ex-pats. Get it right, or check things out before posting this rubbish.

Brexit will benefit the UK once we get past the spite stage from the EU.

The Uk electorate agree with me that the Tories are clearly the best option to govern. Even with the UK government having difficulties very few can imagine Comrades Corbyn and McDonnell running the show. Normally Labour would be 15 points clear by now, Momentum has ruined Labour, keep it going lefties.

Many of your fellow ex-pats are concerned about the EU stripping their EU rights and having to adjust to being third-country nationals, they seem quite worried.

I do not think that many ex pats will be returning voluntarily SH. Would you really want the return of over a million disgruntled people all with voting rights who hate the sound of the word Brexit and the government which did it ? I have German nationality now, but if I didn't and had to come back I would loathe every Brexiteer until my dying day - and many others are the same on this, is that what you want ? You are the ones who have driven a wedge through British society which may never heal - I hope you feel proud of yourself !

The majority that chose Brexit cannot help some remainers that are sore losers and cannot accept democracy, it is all a bit childish really.

Just responding to your comment which was also content free and just your opinion of people that you don't know and have never considered their opinions as valid. The fact that you would loathe every person that voted to exit a Political Empire and you speak for many others who would be the same - is hardly WUM free is it? But still, we know that the Clique on here can type exactly what they please and the other lap-dogs will nod along sagely.

So, apparently we are all either a clique, or lap dogs on here. If that is your opinion of us why do you waste your time on here ?

It is thought that immigration was one of the things that swayed people to vote as they did in the referendum. Today the government has published the white paper, and it is quite clear that instead of making low skilled labour less numerous, it will actually make it easier to come to the country. Six months to seek work under current EU rules, twelve months under the new ones. Yes, that includes people from the EU and anyone else from the rest of the world. This is because the government recognises that these people are actually required to keep the wheels turning, and to support an ageing population. It will last until 2025, but who is to say that it will not continue for another five after then? Migration Watch said there was no way of making sure people left after a year and the immigration figures, which do not include people in the UK for less than a year, could be distorted as a result.
"It is shocking that the government should have caved in so completely to the demands of industry while ignoring the strong public desire to get immigration down," said its chair Lord Green.
"The chief winners will be business, as they exploit the bonanza of a huge new pool of labour from around the world while continuing to avoid their responsibility to the public to recruit and train up local talent."
With targets being abolished, how much longer before the numbers boom, but they are not counted? Still this is what people think is taking back control, so they will all be applauding it no doubt.

It will be great for the UK to join the vast majority of countries around the world in having it's own immigration policy not something foisted on it by Brussels. The short term contracts offered to immigrants, without any residency rights, is ideal to fill gaps unable to be filled by home grown labour. This should stop the remoaners from whinging about the NHS collapsing and fruit rotting fields, among other project fear fantasies. Thankfully the government has vastly increased the investment in Border Control. It must be made much easier to trace and deport any overstayers and illegals remaining in the UK.

Would you like to say then that you wholeheartedly support this grand increase in immigration.? This grand increase in investment in Border Control extends to 300 new posts. Which towns and cities will you employ them all to, after all we wouldn't want them tripping over each other. Oh and by the way, these people coming in would not need contracts, they can come in just to seek work.

Don't forget they have set 3,800 soldiers on standby in case of emergency (thought only banana republics did this as a last resort) - so the new mantra can change from 'Join the Army and see the World' to 'Join the Army and stamp passports'.

This is a big step forward in ending freedom of movement with greater controls over labour. This will ensure an adequate supply of labour in the short term with the ability to adjust the policy to suit the UK as the government sees fit.

So the six month limit on finding work, that you argued against is worse than the twelve month limit that is now proposed.
You also realise that the normal cycle of time that a government stays in power is coming to and end. A future government could well say the country needs loads more immigrants. Still it seems that it is not numbers that worry you, but just where they come from.
