    On paper there will be several players coming back in
    January from the injury fold.

    So the FA Cup ties, and the League Cup SFs (even if not
    taken 100% seriously) , would be important competitive game
    time for said players + squad fringe players + seeing if
    we can get Academy talent to Skipp level.

    Lose:lose situation if we win tonight. If we draw Burton in the next round, we have an easy route to the final. And in any case, if we reach the final, we have an unfair advantage because we are playing at home. I can already read what the hacks will write.

    AFAIK, Spurs are the only PL side in this League Cup
    that got drawn against other PL clubs in every round to date.

    Yes that is an odd one - from that team would have expected Eriksen to be captain - Stronger team than expected but so is theres, both are a CB short, Davies v Aubamayang worries me, assume we are playing with Lucas furthest forward and we need to get him behind as they may struggle to keep up, can see this being very tight

    Decent lineup that. It’ll be interesting to see how their injury ridden defence deals with Son, Lucas and Lamela’s pace. Looks like Xhaka is playing CB.
