Oh ffs, Jan out for weeks again! We may have to start looking for a new first choice CB. Toby yet to commit while Jan’s no spring chicken and has been picking up a number of niggling injuries now.
The bloke who threw the banana skin on the pitch has been found guilty and banned from football for 4 years. More importantly, the court found that there was a racial element to the offence, despite the police saying that they didn't believe that... https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...r-hurling-banana-skin-at-black-arsenal-player The club have to ban him for life, for me. He's tainted our unblemished record on this issue. There can be no other acceptable action.
Poch's said that Gazza will be starting this one Here's hoping that his hair wasn't the source of his goalkeeping heroics, because if it was Coco has a lot to answer for...
He deserves to start. Hugo’s regained his form but we shouldn’t forget how good Gazza was playing beforehand. Hopefully he’s not picked up too much rust though. As for the hair, he’s still a sexy bastard.
Don't play anyone we need for the weekend. Best result we can have right now is no new injuries, if that means playing Nkoudou and Llorente at centre back then so be it.
According to The Mirror and his counsel, the idiot who threw the banana skin has been banned for life by the club... https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/tottenham-hotspur-fan-who-threw-13751278 Good. It doesn't make it right but I hope that the whole appalling slur on our club and fans can be put behind us. I'd have banned him for life for throwing anything on the pitch, besmirching our reputation in the manner that he did, should see him banned for 2 lifetimes.
What type of side are you guys expecting to field tomorrow? Are you going to play the likes of Alli, Eriksen, Kane, Son etc or are you going to field an understrength side? Only asking because I don't think we'll be playing a strong team in the slightest. We seem to be picking up injuries to key players virtually every week, and with the league fixtures coming thick and fast, those league games will probably have to take priority over the Carabao Cup, even if it is a derby. I'm not confident we'll win, but by equal measure, I'm not overly fussed if we get knocked out. The priority has to be the Europa and the Premier League. We need to try and get back into the Champions League. Carabao Cup doesn't help us in achieving that. Losing to you lot would ****ing suck. However, in the long run, could prove to be a blessing.
99% likely to be a rotated side. We've just played far too many games in recent weeks for the first team to be utilised tomorrow and then again on the weekend. I'd imagine something like: Gazza KWP, Foyth, Sanchez, Rose Winks, Skipp Lucas, Lamela, Son Llorente There's a possibility Eriksen will start as he didn't vs Burnley but there's also rumours he's got an injury that's being managed hence why he's been rotated a lot lately, usually he's the first name on the team sheet in any Prem or European tie.
Gazzaniga's been confirmed to start by Poch One of Sanchez or Foyth will play (although, as both are coming back from hamstring strains, hopefully not both) No defensive midfielder at all (Dier having his appendix out, Wanyama out with a knee injury, Amos out with a torn ACL)
To be fair, that second string side is a lot better than what our second string side will look like We will most likely start Cech, Koscielny, Guendouzi, Lacazette and Ozil, but the rest of the positions is anyone's guess. If that is the team you field tomorrow, I think we will lose.
That's the sort of injury list that had it happened to Liverpool or Citeh would have the pundits screaming the excuses for poor performances before they've even happened, regardless on how much they've spent on reserves. It's also the sort of injury list that has the pundits screaming that we should have bought players in the transfer window. Double standards of course.
Its the Goons so I will really want to win tonight and we really need to win something to get that monkey off of our back - But with the likely outcome of winning tonight being 2 matches against either City or Chelsea (we know we don't get Burton), and given last seasons FA cup performances the likelihood of needing 2 games to get past Tranmere we will have 2 matches per week right through January too, tonight is a bit of a double edged sword for both sides. I am not sure that the side will be quite as strong as DH suggests and we may see debut tonight for Eyoma. Gazza KWP Eyoma Sanchez Davies Skipp Winks Son, Alli, N'Koudou Llorente
I presume llorente will play tonight I just hope we play to his strengths and get the crosses into the box so he can do what he's good at.oh and no fecking about at the back tonight we have an out ball in llorente so let's use it when under pressure. COYS
That's about what I'd figure, except maybe Davis for Rose, and quite possibly N'Koudou for Lucas or perhaps Son. It's a funny one, because every fan of both clubs would hate to lose, but they'd probably both be better off in the long run if they do. One or two extra games in January might well cost some crucial points in the PL standings, or cause an injury.
Sonny is a bit like Kane, he needs to keep playing to keep sharp. I would suggest start both on the bench an bring them on after 60 mins if we are losing and about 72 minutes if we are drawing or winning.
