Guess we need to add a Corner Coach to our Throw in Coach. They were awful on Sunday. In fact
Robertson's final ball generally was woeful all game. I know; sacrilege but still true in my opinion.

Flick it on, dummy it, lay it back to corner taker............there is options.
For the amount of corners that don't get past the first man it surprises me more teams don't do this

It's piss poor in all this time and with their resources that they haven't found the right replacement yet.
It looks like Arsenal have got it right first time. MU's board need ****ing shooting.

I've never seen any of those methods give an appreciable improvement, tbh.
I think a big guy coming from deep to attack a whipped-in cross is still the most effective when done properly. Given how easily he wins defensive headers, I'm surprised Virge doesn't cause more mayhem in the opposition box. Especially after his debut.

During the game, Carragher actually claimed we'd had good success with corners this season. My response was simple..."When?"

It needs that good delivery though and we are not the only team that seems to struggle with it. I'd like to see a little more variation.

Exactly. The bit you put in quotes there is word for word what Neville said. It's akin to celebrities who want preferential treatment with the added 'don't you know who I am?' look.

We have varied the corners & set-pieces....

... we've used VVD at the back of the area; over hit the set-piece for him to nod bank into the danger area. The idea being to move the opposition about whilst employing lots of movement from our players...

...but yes, the ball must beat the first man fire us to have half a chance!

Just checking this out and TAW are saying its actually 46 years <yikes> since we were this far ahead of MU at this point of the season.

I think it's a terrible decision. No commitment to the cause, will players put 100% in for OGS knowing he's not going to be there next season?

They claim to be the biggest club in the world, show it then. Go and get your man now rather than wait until the summer!

I seem to remember OGS are being utterly ****e at Cardiff and them having an extremely leaky defence.
ManU's defence is leaky enough when they're playing defensive football and their weakest aspect......This is going to end well.

He's a terrible appointment (good for the rest of us though). When they're not in the CL next season they can kiss good bye to any hope of Zidane (he's not going to a Non-CL club) or Poch (why would he leave Spurs who are likely again to be in the CL)

Nah it is a no lose scenario
Those players who weren’t performing have to try for this manager
If they don’t it becomes obvious that they are the issue
Also the ones who really disliked Jose will want to make a point
Finally as mito pointed out - literally anyone could win their festive fixture list
