Football League Prospect Watch As we haven't been linked with a promising youngster from the lower leagues for a good few days we're being linked with Charlton midfielder Joe Aribo, who has been drawing inevitable comparisons with Dele Alli in spite the fact he's the same age as Dele yet hasn't spent three years playing in the Premier League - although, with him entering the last six months of his contract, Eintracht Frankfurt are seen as the front-runners for his signature
The DoF says we're unlikely to make any January signings ...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there goes the goodwill he built up on Tuesday
It’s no secret all the teams have spent a lot more than what we have. [Mauricio Pochettino] did not make any signings in the summer and he is probably not going to make any signings in January. For him to do what he has done and what he is doing now speaks volumes of him. It’s no coincidence big teams are being linked with him. We hope he stays for a really long time. That sound you can hear is the knives sharpening for the next six weeks of talkBALLS phone-ins
The part where he mentions January signings certainly are, as that's handing out sticks to beat us with to all the people who spend a lot of time and energy searching for sticks to beat us with, for example...
sorry to be a complete bitch but if our DoF is part of the "we" that hopes Pochettino stays for a really long time, WTF was his "I know what I'm worth" interview in the Scum about. Sorry...Tuesday or not...he is still a mars bar addicted lard arse
is it a coincidence that if you get the letters in the name Phillip, mix them up, add a few, remove a few it spells "just another twitter ****er"?
That is terrible news. Apart from wishing the lad well cause he's a vital part of the squad, we are very reliant on Mousa who has also played a lot of games. Hope Victor can pitch in for a while.
Gutted for him. Thought he was starting to get back to his best this season after a shaky 17/18. Such a vital and criminally underrated player, amount of opposition fans who call him **** makes me smile knowing that they really don't appreciate his quality. Hoping he has a speedy recovery.
And Aurier/Moura. Assuming Rabiot is not a wage merc, I'm sure they could sell the differences from playing at PSG to joining the good ship Pochettino.
It's good news, Jan is a rock and his commitment until the age of 33 is important for us considering we cannot really trust that Toby will be here past the summer IMO. I think we'll let Jan run the contract down and go back to Ajax to finish his career, as I believe that is what he wants.
