Sorry to hear your woes mate.

Good to see despite the **** hand you been dealt you still have a sense of humour and perspective.

My grandad went through similar and he was in Kashmir. No welfare state etc so uncles hadto work. Me and my two siblings went over and took turns looking after him. I was there for three months and it was hard as all sleeping patterns etc go out the window. I don't think I could do it again though as I'd just finished my degree and didn't have a family etc

 

Yeah it’s hard work eh? I’ve basically had to press the pause button on my own life and switch my focus 100% to my dad.

As you say, sleeping patterns and all normal routines go straight out of the window. My dad wandered into my room at 4am the other night holding an incontinence pad with **** all over it and his hands too. What can you do though ? Can’t just roll over and fall asleep pretending it hasn’t happened.

Well, you can but it would be a ****ty thing to do (see what I did there )

 

Sorry for this morning fan, woke up in a foul mood and don't know why I took it out on you tbh. No excuses though was a bit unnecessary really so apologies mate.

Thanks man. I ain’t posting all of this fishing for some kind of heroic feedback, just telling it like it is. Pretty sure anybody would do the same for their folks. Bless them.

 

Yeah you’d like to think that but it’s not always the case unfortunately. It’s the least you can do really though innit.

My mum’s ungrateful AF, I once paid for her and my stepdad to go away as a birthday present ‘anywhere you like’, and she chose Croatia iirc. Now regardless of how good the holiday was you’d just say it was nice wouldn’t you, if somebody else had paid.

How was your holiday mum?

Had a hot shower, 4 slices of pizza, now a couple of cans.. And lets do it all again tomorrow.
