Happy with Bayern, always good to face different teams and we've not faced them since the European Cup days. PSG are going to destroy Man Utd's defence.
Not PSG - same group. But yeh, I was being overly simplistic. I thought there are no other French teams and we couldn't draw an English team so whoever PSG got [other than an English team] would have been who we drew.
Bayern must not underestimate the Anfield factor. Should have preferred we play the first leg away though.
I dunno about that. I would say if we want to go back and say.... whoever came out in order and we would have came out when PSG did ok... but we know itd be a fudge and we get the tough draw
But, if we have topped our group the first leg has to be away. The price we are paying is not topping our group.
Not a bad draw. Apart from Porto, probably one of the better draws available. Bayern will have huge expectations on them but not even top dogs in their league. I think we should expect to go through to QFs. City have got a good deal. Spurs have got a toughie. United have got a PSG who will expect to go through but depends on whether the mancs have a new manager. With a decent new manager they could compete against a dodgy PSG defence.
They obviously change the 'rules' to benefit viewing figures and to keep the ties interesting. What do you think the next rule change could be? Teams are drawn against each other as they qualify out of the Group??
The onus is on the home team to attack. Us being at home first means VVD theoretically serves his ban in the game we don't need him as much. Given the choice, I'd opted opted for VVD to miss the home leg.
Well just seen United's schedule when the CL begins You are right. Whoever kicks them out, needs to be dicked for denying us the opportunity..so them
My predictions Liverpool v Bayern (Liverpool win away goals) Ajax v Real Madrid (a surprise here, Ajax) Roma v Porto (Porto) Lyon v Barca (Barca) Tottenham v Borussia (Tottenham) You Know Who v PSG (I hope it is PSG but quite often an ugly team gets to the final) Atlético v Juventus (Atlético) Schalke v Manchester City (City) And in the QF City v Liverpool again!!
I think that's right Dribs but I thought they'd changed the way they were seeding teams from simply group winners and runners up to adding Country coefficients. I'm probably misinterpreting it
