Of all the matches we had with them, this was the most one sided ever. By a long distance. Right at the kick off there was always going to be one winner. One of the most one sided LFC- Man U matches ever seen. They were a complete shambles and to compare them to Fulham would be offensive to the London club. In fact we should have won by a much bigger margin. I honestly cannot see how Mourinho can survive after this. It seems obvious he has lost the key players.
A few of us on here(cough cough)can remember a time when man u were nobodies, but, their sense of entitlement is just like we had back when Sir Kenny left. They are ****e and full of their own importance, I truly hope Mourinho stays because he can't hack it with Klopp and Pep in this league.
Who could come in and sort out united though, they look absolutely ****ed. Doesn't look a quick fix and it's not like mourinho is the first after Ferguson, they've had 3 experienced managers in there now and it's just gotten worse.
The match report on the BBC front page says "Late Shaqiri double sees Liverpool beat Man Utd and go top" But the report on the BBC Utd page say, "Two deflected Shaqiri strikes give Liverpool victory over Man Utd" Anyone who doubts there's a man u bias on there is blind or an Everton fan.
I agree. there was an lfc.fan on this at about 7pm on 606 and the two guys on there shut him down. didn't want to hear it the point for me is this: Which teams in the prem have structures to keep the teams ethos and culture going through different managers? spurs... It's all levy. It's not great tbh. arsenal.. they have worked very hard for past 18months and put some decent things in place that brought aubameyabg and emry to club. imo this is a cluv to watch. Chelsea. are run from board room. managers come and go. It's a bit of chaos but there is a reason why they have won most trophies over last 10 years city. very well structured. top men at director level. it all shows. us? I still say it's all klopp but hey... only time will tell. Utd problem is they were a public company run for nothing but profit and then bought by people who scammed their buy of the club and know nothing about the sport just that they can keep taking money. They were reliant of Ferguson and Ferguson ruled with an iron fist. since he has left the player selection and transfers.. and manager and coaching appointments are very very telling. as much as I dislike mourinho he has been also shafted by Utd hierarchy and Woodward in particular. as long Woodward keeps his job utd will never win the league or cl.
They couldn't live with us today on any level, they were overwhelmed for the entire match, that's about all I can say Ok AB made an error, but he'd had eff all to do so had really cooled off after the warm up, plus watching the match from his goal-side fold out seat he felt a pang of sympathy
Any goal is three points whether OG or deflected. They must not complain Allison gave them one goal as consolation.
Poor Van Dijk - the guy is putting in at least 9/10 performances week in week out but it doesn’t get mentioned because it’s the norm ...
Just great. When it went 1-1, I would normally be so angry - considering how against the run of play it was and what a gift it was... but I wasn’t, I was so confident that we could just keep plugging and win comfortably. Utd are abysmal to be quite honest. Fabinho is looking like a fantastic addition, so calm in possession, skipped past players and always passing meaningfully - excellent. Made up for Shaqiri too, waits for his opportunities, fantastic attitude (which we were all probably concerned about when he joined) - gets the nod and bags a brace All in all, a really nice Sunday
