I swear my family's oven has an agenda against me. My mother and sister can cook food in it without problem, but whenever i use it, it burns everything i put in it. Therefore, i was wondering if it is possible for a kitchen appliance to have it's own agenda, and if i should phone a priest to get the thing exorcised. What do you wise fellows of this forum think, am i going crazy, or do any of your kitchen appliances seem to hate you.

All machines will rise up and kill us all when their time is right. Ovens, microwaves, kettles.....the list goes on - they will take over and the human race will be eradicated

You are obviously doing it wrong. Has your oven got a timmer on it?

No, i use my watch. i know how to cook, it's just the oven. Can you imagine how stupid i'll sound phoning up a church, asking if the minister can exorcise a cooker. It'll be that stupid story that always on at the end of the news.

It works for your Ma and sister. It's obviously something that you are doing wrong. I thought I might be able to help you, obviously not.

Right, sorry, i've wasted your time. My oven isn't evil, i've just asked my mother, and she's shown me what i've been doing wrong. Turns out i've gotten the settings all wrong, which explains why everything is burned. I'm not going mad, i'm just incredibly dim.

It's the settings, not the timer. Just found out.

it wasn't when i started it. I'm arrogant, so i refuse to ask for help, so i assumed i was doing everything correctly with the oven, but i asked 5 minutes ago, and it turned out i was wrong.
