I take your point. But i was thinking about this only yesterday when it happened. Maybe if people dox people in the future or if they post up their addresses, maybe their fate should be left in the hands of the victim, that way it moves the ball from my court. I can apply an instant ban until the victim has decided on course of action to be taken. However, for now, I think we need to let things cool off, then eventually go back to the person who's address it was and say what do you think.

The thing is though, no one has ever doxxed that poster. As we’ve discussed before, he chooses to post under his real name, for reasons best known to him. He still does, so it’s not as if he’s changed his handle and therefore moved the goalposts.

It’s completely different to someone taking bits of info and searching for someone’s identity that they’ve chosen not to share and then plastering it on the forum. That deserves a life ban imo.
