Death metal is actually pretty easy. It's speed metal that separates the men from the boys.

The game is very different than the real thing so if you play guitar you are at a disadvantage in the game. I read somewhere that the guitarist from I think it was Dragonforce regularly gets his ass handed to him by his son on the game.

Its not so disimilar really. Especially the later guitar hero's where you can do the solo's without strumming every note. Powercords were introduced as well so its not so disimilar in that respect. Actually I think Blues and Jazz seperate us wannabee's from the real guitarists :D

Just got a Yamaha APX700II acoustic today, lovely piece of wood. Got 2 dependable strats for when I want to be anti social. Mark Knopfler and Stevie Ray Vaughan for me.

It's a Tyrone thing. We call everyone 'lad' just like you may call people 'mate' or people from Derry call people 'sir'

He can't be 15. There is no way a modern 15 year old would go and see Iron Maiden live. They'd all be rushing to see lady gaga instead.

I taught myself using tabs and I got impatient and thought I reached my potential. So then I sold my guitar for my first car.

We use it as both a term of endearment and an insult. It depends on context.

I was trying to improve my blues playing and found an amazing course, from blues master.com, i have picked up loads in only a few days. The guy breaks down blues solos and tells you how to learn them in a very easy manner and how to play the same licks all over the neck. The guy that does the course is the same guy that founded the Brighton guitar academy. worth a look!

;) Hey dont knock it, at least they make their own music unlike all of the chart music out these days. Anything half decent ended in the 80's didnt it? :)
