Over the years whenever I've been confident of a Leeds victory it's all gone tits up so I'd take a draw, a win would obviously be ideal Don't agree that not winning today would mean we can forget about the autos. We could just as easily lose or draw today and win at Villa. Norwich could lose at Bristol City tonight and a draw today would mean we'd go to Villa top. The Championship is so unpredictable, that's why a point today could turn out to be vital
The lads will respond to one of their teammates not being able to handle playing for Leeds United and running away by smashing Bolton, have faith my friend
Damage limitation by the club this week to try and manage the leaving of Siaz. It's obvious Phil Hay (YEP) was given the inside track and told to break the news after Bielsa's presser so as to keep the disruption as minimal as possible in the build up to the Bolton game. Good posts in the breakfast debate by elland and morbidwhite on the subject, both made very good observations about the different perspectives and ways in which it could be viewed. It's obvious something out of the ordinary has occurred as it's virtually unheard of for a move like this to be announced 2 weeks prior to a transfer window opening. Whatever it was, it's clear that there was no possibility if Siaz being involved this weekend hence the need for the controlled media stories to try and deflect unwanted criticism away from the club. You could argue that the controlling nature of those press releases was overly blatant but it's better than what happened with Chris Wood where it all blew up the night before a game. Siaz is a massive loss and there is no two ways about it. Even when he wasn't at his best and on the bench it was still giving massive confidence and believe to any players who were selected ahead of him. To be in the first eleven is what drives footballers and to get the shirt ahead of a player like Siaz would really make you believe in your own ability. Unfortunately now that competition is lost and we are definitely the poorer for it. On to today's game then and it seems Tyler Roberts will come back into the squad but I expect Baker to be the one who Bielsa will expect to fill the departed spaniards shoes from the bench if required. It certainly means those half time changes which have occurred lately will be different and hopefully it means that Jack Clarke will get another opportunity to show what an exciting talent he is. Bolton will be very difficult opponents as they're likely to cause us problems with high balls to test our centre backs and goalkeeper. Personally will be more than happy with an away point but delighted if we get a win. LUTV live coverage not an option for me today as it's only being shown in a few countries with the main one in Europe being Spain and my VPN doesn't have a server there. All of North America and most of Europe is blocked out which is bloody annoying.
well it's matchday and the return of mr positive.my prediction is another win and one of our least likely players to have a blinder.
I think we’ll win but you’re being a bit cavalier there, they could give us a roasting anything is possible in this division.
Personally, I think Saiz is reacting to the fact he hasn't been a regular starter for a while. He'll probably get regular starts at Getalfe, which will suit him even though the club are going nowhere. I find it interesting that he's on brink of playing in Premiership, but decides to move back home, that in itself doesn't make sense.
Just an alternative perspective. If doc is correct about the problems Saiz and his partner have had with previous pregnancies. And if his wife is both homesick and stressed and worried about the current pregnancy which would be natural. Any father’s out there will know that it’s highly likely that Saiz is dealing with some emotional pressure at home. Given what we see of his on-pitch persona and the few comments we’ve Heard from him in interviews suggest he’s a highly strung guy himself. Maybe, just maybe the club have realised that he’s in no state to play for Leeds AND maybe they have given some consideration to what is best for the player and his family. I appreciate there are plenty of more cynical explanations that have merit... but it would be a nice thought that the club has shown a human side... ... providing we have a damn good replacement lined up
Good morning all From a very wet Southampton, all i gotta say now is C'MON LEEDS,C'MON LEEDS Three points would be great pressie for us all
