Lucky man...just checked and it’s too late...their in Germany now And they were at the Manchester Academy Nov 30th
I would have said these too. It's weird I never went. Could have gone to Spike Island and didn't, sound like I made the right choice as it was apparently ****. Just haven't been arsed to go since they reformed. Another one I missed out on was The Jam. Was too young to go with my brother when he saw them at Blackburn. Was at thier height.
Same here - couldn't get what a The Jam at Blackburn you wouldn't get bands of that size doing those venues now!
Live music always sounds ****, even when it's been remastered. Gimme CD quality, studio recorded every time.
I've seen them half a dozen times as they are one of my favourite bands, but they have pretty much always had Zack on the drums. Excellent drummer, unlike his old man!!
It was pre Going Underground I think, just before it went straight to number one. I remember our kid taunting me with his ticket, the twat. Blackburn St Georges Hall. Probably no longer exists.
Sweats will be seeing you on the 22nd apparently, he can tell us all about it. Don't jump on his table though.
If he’s coming to the Fiveways gig, he’s going to have a riot of a time. It’s our last gig in 2018, and we’ got a fair few turning up. The joint is going to be rammed.
Saw their final one at Brighton, it was "emotional". Would've loved to have seen Bowie with the Spiders from Mars circa '73...He and Mick Ronson had a very special chemistry on stage.
It's all about the atmosphere and experience maaaan. It's like the difference between watching a Footy or a Cricket match, one gets the juices flowing and the other is more cerebral (I love both btw).
