The Liverpool and Egypt forward, who was the top choice from a five-man shortlist in an online vote of supporters, retains the prize he also won a year ago. Salah finished ahead of Reds teammate Sadio Mane in the poll, as well as Medhi Benatia (Morocco), Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal) and Thomas Partey (Ghana). The No.11 enjoyed one of the greatest debut seasons in Liverpool history, scoring 44 goals to help the club reach the Champions League final, and then represented his country at the World Cup. And his form has continued into the current campaign; his winner against Napoli in Tuesday’s Champions League tie increased his tally for the season to 13 strikes. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/330196-salah-bbc-award-african-footballer-of-the-year
In a two team league where he's with the team that nobody thinks should win? Like Neville he'll be back in punditry after dipping his toe and not liking the temperature.
Call them every lazy twat under the sun in the dressing room but hanging them out to dry in public isn't on. It's poor management and I hope he learns this quickly if he ever hopes to come back to us in a senior position.
The novelty has worn off Gerrard for the Ibrox faithful, they've been slating him on social media and Flanagan is getting plenty of stick too, surprised Gerrard took over at a toxic club in financial trouble rather than take over a lower league English club to learn the ropes. Their own hero Ally McCoist was hounded out after winning them successive promotions so what did Gerrard expect?, He's got no links to them and should have known the toxicity of the job when their fans openly discussed his family religion when he was interviewed.
He did it , like Neville because his ego drove him to believe being a force on the pitch is enough... Souness had same problem... That quiet arrogance the two have... it didn't translate for Souness back then and certainly won't work for a modern manager... Ask Mourinho... Going to sound bad but honestly... if I had to choose between Neville and Gerrard as my manager .... Stevie loses....
All won against the rules, without the use of EBTs they wouldn't have been able to attract and sign the players they did.
Just turned tv on at 2 minutes in to see Fernandinho fouling an Everton player. When will he get found out?
