One for the conspiracy theorists ...

Do you think there's a direct link between Saiz departing & Clarke getting so much concentrated game time?

Smells of 'no replacement signing' to me.

Talent but not the commitmrent to be a finished atticle which is why he is at a championship club and not a player that attracts big league

Let him go on a loan, are we fookin mad ? He's a great player to have, and bring on with 30 mins to go and that's without any injuries, tell him he's going nowhere,we need him for this next 6 months, more than ever.wrecked our season when he lost form last season, and could well do the same again if we let him go.If he's desperate to go tell him have a good 6 months and he can, play **** and he goes nowhere.

Think people are expecting too much from Brown an all,the chance of him being as good or better than Saiz is no more than 10% imo, look at the Harrison hype, and not even good enough to get in the team.

Totally agree, if we sell him for big money and buy a replacement then fine but a loan deal doesn’t help us in any shape or form. He isn’t going to want to return after 6 months in Spain, he might be playing crap but he’s one of the very few who could come on with 15 minutes to go and change a game

I'll admit that Saiz is not firing on all cylinders at the moment for the dozen games or so that he has played. I would also say that he has more inventive talent in his big toe than most the the Championship.

I remember the commentary during the Derby game (I think) where the commentator remarked that Saiz could walk into any bottom 12 Premiership team.

Has he really fallen from grace that much that we have to palm him off to the first Spanish team that shows any interest in him?

    No - something stinks here...

    From Popey

Ángel Torres, president of Getafe, saying that a player will take a medical at the club next week and could also be present at their game on Saturday. Didn’t name him, but that player is expected to be Samu Sáiz from Leeds.

Torres said some players at Getafe already know who it is, but he couldn’t name the player tonight as “it would anger the English team”. Sáiz would arrive as a loan, with option to buy.

Please tell me I am not the only one who thinks this stinks?

Things haven't been right witb Saiz for the last 6 weeks, a lot of us thought he was going through the motions the month previous, great player but wasn't firing at the time. This doesn't surprise me.
First part of a disappointing month for Leeds fans.

Unless Brown turns out to be brilliant and Bielsa shows no sign of thinking he is,this will cost us 10 points and auto Imo <grr>

Brown is a very talented footballer. But a year is a very long time out and some players are never quite the same. We had a deal that was very low risk ie no play no pay... so it was worth the punt and could be a master stroke... but you’re right it would be foolhardy to pin all your hopes on him

Well Bielsa’s already said Brown won’t be in the squad this weekend. Still doesn’t think he’s ready fitness wise even for the bench.

Unfortunately if a player wants out, not a lot you can do about it.
Best he goes quickly rather than disrupt the rest of the team.

But, either sell him to the highest bidder knowing he has 2 1/2 years left on his contract, and we all know there is very little talent out there in the January transfer window, or let our most talented player of last season go to the first club that shows any interest in him, letting him go on loan.

Are you telling me that if Leeds said Saiz was available that there wouldn't be a dozen clubs after him?

We need to be extra careful with Brown now for obvious reasons

There is when he has 2 1/2 years left on his contract. You sell him, and to the highest bidder!

Who remembers the bid by Krasnodar for Jansson in the Summer

That all started by media reports saying:-

    Jansson wasn't happy at Leeds

Jansson wants to be playing at a higher level

Jansson is not the player he was.

This was shortly followed up by Jansson telling all and sundry that he flatly refused a transfer to Krasnador, AND THAT LEEDS TRIED TO SELL HIM BEHIND HIS BACK!

Suddenly after this, all the media reports went down.

What I am trying to understand is that some of the reports quote a transfer price of 5.1m, others quote 10m.

Jansson has an extra large gob (thankfully).

Otherwise, he may not have been with us now!
