<peacedove> Any chance of playing on Saturday against Stoke City.?

The Liverpool midfielder was forced off with ten minutes left of Saturday's 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic at Hampden Park.

The Scottish FA have now confirmed Adam will miss tomorrow night's game, posting 'Charlie Adam definitely out.<ok>

If I were Adam, I would have taken myself off the pitch as there is no point in trying to play international football with 10 other useless players - the majority of which have a deluded opinion of their own abilities.

If hes DEFINITELY out v Lithuania I would be surprised if he makes Stoke

It may not be a bad thing(though Id rather him be fit),bcause I think we will need RUNNERS in midfield v Stoke

    Id like to see

    Suarez Kuyt
    Downing Hendo Lucas Bellamy

v Stoke although Kenny could start Spearing( for Adam ) or Carroll

The Spucas partnership in CM would do very well against Stoke. <ok>

My exact thoughts. The energy and enthusiasm of both Lucas and Spearing will disrupt Stoke and allow Suarez, Kuyt and Downing to do their job. I think if Adam was playing, Stoke would quickly close him down and prevent his play.

If Spearing and Lucas were a permanent fixture in the centre of midfield I think my name would be 'Spucas'.

I would like spearing to cover for him if he is not fit for Stoke. His energy will be needed.

He will PROB miss Stoke but MAY be back... Makes sense to me... Depends how bad the strain is when he's scanned and if it tightens up or if he's able to train

Sorry for not replying earlier lads.

He had an OK game, at best. Played out of position though, he was almost sitting in between the midfield and defence, which doesn't suit him.

He hasn't done it for Scotland yet <ok>

Steven Naismith, Darren Fletcher, Charlie Adam, Scott Brown, James Morrison.

Charlie was made to sit too deep and try to spray 40 yard cross field balls all game <ok>

Cheers for the update would like to have him back for the Stoke game but we have cover for him so
maybe it's best not to rush him back and the injury coming back worse
