I see that the Telegraph is saying that the PM is hinting she will stay on for another three years.

  3. They lost a vote in Commons Committee today for the first time in this Parliament too. It's surreal.

How did that happen? I thought all the committees were loaded to ensure that didn't happen.

  5. A conservative member argued really strongly about an amendment but tried to pull it when he realised it was going to the vote. The Labour guy wouldn't let him - and the SNP members, who had abstained on all England only issues before that, smelt blood.

Clearly SNP members should be barred from voting on England only issues, should have happened years ago.

  8. Gets funnier. They've stopped putting DUP on the committees for obvious reasons. Two of the blokes who voted against the Government are of Irish Catholic heritage <rofl>

If those 'half hearted' Romans had kept that wall in good repair we would not be having this problem.

No wonder they always came last in 'It's a Knockout' :emoticon-0100-smile

Margret Thatcher 1986: "Never make a decision until it is forced on you". I wonder how much longer before force comes into the current situation?

The government has confirmed that if you fit solar panels to your roof from next April, you will supply any excess to the electricity companies, who already make a handsome profit, free to them. Ofgem also announced a shakeup of how access to energy grids is charged, which will see the nearly 1m households that have fitted solar panels facing higher energy bills as a result. Is this all part of the plan to produce more green energy?

Corbyn's silly vote of no confidence in Theresa May has been branded a 'stunt'. The Commons speaker had to inform Corbyn that nobody has taken any notice of him and he will need to table a vote of no confidence in the government to have it debated in parliament. Why didn't anybody explain the parliament rules to Jezza?

According to some comments I have just read, May's emergency planning is just a 'stunt', more project fear.

The SNP and the other tiny UK political parties have branded Corbyn's vote of no confidence in May as a 'gimmick'. They have tabled a vote of no confidence in the government but again it is non binding and will probably be ignored also.

Non-binding? Just like the referendum then.

No, The PM at the time had the right to declare the result as government policy, which he duly did.

No he didn't. Cameron could have promised us £50k each and Watford to win the PL, doesn't mean he had the right to. He also ran away like a weasely coward.

He had the right to make the result government policy, which he did. Th next PM continued with the policy through article 50 which was endorsed overwhelmingly by parliament.
