Lapslie was excellent. He took a couple of kicks to the face. Bielek was elbowed in the face. Lumps were kicked out of Taylor. Unfortunately we picked up some more injuries. Marshall has a rib injury, Taylor a lump on his leg. Grant a hamstring injury. Various players with bumps and bruises. Portsmouth were a very big, very aggressive side. Much like Millwall were under Jackett. The players need a good rest before the AFC Wimbledon game. If Grant and Taylor are out, I have no idea who will be playing upfront with Ajose.

:emoticon-0159-music "He used to be ****e but now he's alright..." :emoticon-0159-music

How ironic. What they really mean is he used to be ****e but now it's alright (because the whole team is so much poorer he looks better than he used to).

Goebbals nailed it. If you repeat a lie often enough people will believe it and it becomes the truth; and the bigger the lie the more likely they are to believe it.

Naby has been good this Season. He was played out of position on Tuesday but handled a very good winger well.

Sarr has got the raw materials to make a footballer, but there is something missing. He is always on the verge of a clanger IMO. Regardless of that, the idiot Meire paid well over the odds for him.

Sarr would be ripped a new one if he ever got up to the Championship.

This is a joke? Peter Shaw seemed to be the scapegoat then. Nothing changes, the need for a scapegoat is still around today.

before Les broke into the team I read in the match programme that we had a youngster in the reserves who was a future England international …. that player was Les Berry … surprisingly he never made it into the England starting 11 :(

Les Berry was a cult hero, in the same way as Leaburn was. Naby could follow in their footsteps.

I know you are getting on a bit, are you confusing Les Berry with Paul Elliott ?
