Not only is May unable to get her Brexit deal through Parliament, she wouldn't get anything else through without the support of the DUP and with a number of rogue rebels in her party who want her out. Something has to give before 29th March. It's inconceivable that we can just drift to a no deal Brexit with a government effectively unable to govern for the next three and a half months.

For me, capitalism is vital - it’s the wealth producing mechanism - but with an acceptable face, to use a weather worn phrase. The party I envisage would be a a capitalist one, but with a far more acceptable social face,

It's worse than that. Average weekly wages are just that - averaged across what everybody earns. But as long as the highest paid continue to get an increasingly large part of the total (which has been a trend for years and unlikely to change) then the average is skewed. I would like to see graphs such as the proportion of the workforce on minimum wage over time and the proportion of the workforce on zero hours contracts.
She will play for time, then as late as possible put her deal to Parliament. There is no way that she will call a second referendum, so she will let it be known to all and sundry that if it is voted down, she will let the people decide by calling a general election. Then many tories who might lose their seats may think again. She has already said that she will not lead the Tories into another election, so there would be a Tory leadership battle as well. The EU have already said that they would allow an extension to Brexit in the event of a general election.
She has to put her deal in front of parliament by 21st Jan the latest. If ( when) it’s kicked into the long grass, parliament then has the whip hand in deciding what happens next.

I noticed that almost 50% of Americans polled suggest Trump should not be impeached for being the biggest crook since Al Capone(?).What is it with these Americans? Are they crooked also?
