and replace him with rasmussen. mcgeady could learn a thing or two from kamara. kamara splits defences open with a good final delivery whereas mcgeady doesn't have a clue what to do after going past a player. and the annoying thing is that when he gets doubled up, he doesn't have the brain to pass it to hinkel etc. so here's ra troops for the 28th: boruc hinkel thommo rogne braafheid keane n'guemo brown kamara fortune rasmussen prediction? **** knows
Can't agree Tweedy. The McGeady "no-final ball" is a myth perpetrated by dipshit journalists. You watch any Celtic game and generally McGeady will put at LEAST two or three decent balls into the box. Crossing isn't about puting the ball right on someones napper it's about finding the danger areas, putting the right pace and curve on the ball. At the end of the day a good in-the-box striker will get himself into the area where a cross is most likely to be hit. Strikers should be arriving in the box and finding space for themselves not standing out on the wing or at the front post. In his best season McGeady set-up loads of goals from crosses for McDonald and VoH because those two were on form and working as a striking partnership should. I see similar signs from the Fortune/Keane partnership. Personally I'd leave Rasmussen as sub this season and ease him into the Scottish game. I think Fortune benefitted from the two month injury as it game him time to re-assess his opinions on the SPL. He came back a more focused player.
**** off Nev sarcastic bastard, you know what I mean. Players shouldn't have to be putting a barrel-load of good crosses in every game if the strikers are doing their job. Most of this season Celtic have had Samaras playing in the "Phamtom Zone" and Fortune looking like he needs a trail of breadcrumbs to find the box.
I thought he was ra pyoor bestest player in scotland? I hope he starts, I love it when he does a wee dance then runs the ball out of play then looks around scowling with his stupid tattie face. Most of the time, his final ball is ****ing ****e. If it was any good celtic would have hammered us at new year.
He is the best player in Scotland - certainly no other player in currently in Scotland (bar Keane blah blah blah) could have an ÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââ¬Â âââ‰â¢ÃÆÃâÃââÃÆââââ¬à ¡ÃâìÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâáÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¡ÃÆÃââââ¬à ¡ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã8m transfer fee knocked back outright.
He's the most skilful player in Scotland mick, il give you that. Cant think of any other player in the league who can take on and beat his man/men as often as he does. But he's nowhere near the most effective when it comes to goals & assists etc, as the stats prove. Not this season anyway. I reckon he needs a move to England sooner rather than later, he'll get found out if he doesnt add that to his game and if he does improve he'll be a great player.
TN8 - Spot on mate. He has stagnated at Celtic and should move on for his own career. I think he's a great player but really needs to try playing at another level of football. Personally I think he'd be good in Germany, been watching a lot of their football this season and last and McGeady would go down a storm there.
He's not even close to Steven Davis this season. Or Bougherra. Or Miller. Or Boyd. Even Whittaker has been more effective than him. He'll go to someone like West Ham before disappearing like snow aff a dyke. Liam Lawrence Loyal.
You two broke my heart yesterday. I thought "this is the end". Sadly it wasn't!!! Some folk say my dad look like Michael Winner Nev. I've never had the guts to tell him for the fear of getting a doin'!
This has been his best ever season Frank, the only Celtic player who has stood out this season so I can't agree with the point of stagnating (although maybe not developing as fast as he could). I think he would flourish in the Premier League where he isn't being man marked by two players, because there are better players around him. If Celtic had of been any good this season then you'd probably be looking differently at your own players - the same players who were getting dogs abuse in previous seasons. In the same way also Mowbray would probably have been sacked by now if Rangers were as strong as big Eck's teams in his first few seasons, as there would probably be a 20 point gap now.
