With NZ, Australia USA,excetra,no time at all, with any Country that has jobsworths like you probably longer, but as its to most country's advantage to trade with the worlds 5th biggest economy sure they will be queing up to make a deal,as loads of country's have already said.We can say to country's lets carry on as we have been till we sort a deal and would think 99% would be happy with that.
Chesh your batting your head against a brick wall DBC either doesn't understand or he dosen't want to.
Define no time as we will have literally no time. Average time for America is 45 months https://piie.com/blogs/trade-invest...long-does-it-take-conclude-trade-agreement-us . Sure we can conclude quicker but at what cost? We can say to countries lets carry on as before but we would need a legally binding agreement to make that happen and the deals that we currently have with them have been negotiated with the EU. Countries will not just give us the same terms as they have their interests and will want to renegotiate elements based on what works for them. (And you need the staff to do this as we're starting from basically zero as we haven't negotiated a free trade agreement in over 30 years) Maybe we could join up with Japan and form the worlds biggest free trade area..... https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...de-deal-approved-for-2019-start-idUSKBN1OB1EN
No you're batting your head against Brexit reality as opposed to Brexit fantasy. The easiest deal in human history meets the reality of the last 2 years...
Is that the worlds 5th biggest economy that the EU would bend over backwards to give us what we wanted?
Tell us all just what is this easiest deal in human history. Don't forget to dot the I's and cross the T's
Just over a year ago, Dr Liam Fox declared confidently that a trade deal with the European Union would be "one of the easiest in human history". https://news.sky.com/story/liam-fox-faces-ridicule-over-u-turn-on-brexit-no-deal-11462477 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-40667879/eu-trade-deal-easiest-in-human-history
Only the Irish believe in unicorns! Or so I am lead to believe. Apologies to our Irish friends but 2020 gave me the bullets.
We never expected to have traitors,in the old days we would have just shot, you 20/20 and Corbyn and done the deal in a week.Bring back the good old days ay.
But would have still encountered the same circumstances, the same issues and would have to decide on the same compromises.
And the man who said it would be the easiest who has been facing reality for the last 2 years today says
Speaking of idiotic politicians who lie and promise what they can't deliver - interesting to see what's happened to Trumps attorney.....
Less than the two years that has been wasted since we gave notice to leave, I'd say there is a plan B in place if a no deal brexit takes place give it a few weeks and a deal will be done, they need us more than we need them.
Haha the problem is I think you genuinely believe that and sadly only the reality of it actually happening would prove that it isn't true and even then you'd scramble to find a scapegoat to avoid blame for the reality. On what possible basis does a place that is exposed by 10% need a deal more than a place that is exposed by 44%. They do not want to lose that 10% if they have to but they are a lot more prepared and a lot more able to cope with that 10% hit then we are with the 44% especially as it's not just exports but frictionless trade which they will continue to be able to do with themselves whilst we won't
