I would consider your last point, something worth considering, not the stuff before Your weight compared to the speed and diameter and rotation probably matters now that I think about it. re the bullet idea, So, if I shoot a bullet at 90+ degrees to the ground, and I drop a bullet, they will land on the ground at the same time? That is essentially what you are telling me. Also, your idea, requires a vacuum, ignores caliber, casing, trajectory, and gun barrel. If the planet stopped rotating, where I live, Finland, would be submerged. This is what the planet would look like if the rotation stopped. I have read that the gravitational force is weaker at the poles, which would make sense with the below scenario, momentum overpowering gravity puts most of the water (that's some weight) on the equator. please log in to view this image So having considered it, my conclusion is, that it is a combination of weaker polar gravity (and less momentum due to slower rotation), for the oceans, AND for me on the equator, importantly, the diameter of the planet vs rotation speed vs my weight. Regarding more water at the poles, you're probably right in that gravity will be stronger but it'll be because the earth isn't a perfect sphere and so the poles are closer to the center of mass, and that will affect the strength of gravity. The bullet example is known as the monkey & hunter. We use it as a fun demo in our school, like the below video but we shoot horizontally. The effect is the same either way though. If the earth stopped spinning instantly we'd also be hit with something like 1000kmph winds at the equator because the atmosphere is moving around the earth at (roughly) the same speed that the earth is spinning and it's momentum would continue. I should add that yes with the gun we assume no air resistance or other outside forces but only because they aren't related to gravity. In the real world a really fast bullet may catch some sort of updraft but I'm just talking theoretically.

Are you not going to reply as to why you don't buy a readily available balloon kit to attach your own camera to that will go into the atmosphere and take pictures or film for you? Inexpensive and you'd get flat earth footage and be famous for proving it.
