All comes down to forward planning. If people pull their fingers out it is amazing what can be achieved,
Trouble with that is DBC would like to introduce some kind of check to delay supply chain so that we all starve.
I didn't think there was Ringo, don't think my mind's got that decrepit in last 2 years. I found this as part of a website on Brexit. Initially we could've walked away from EU last year, yes there would be certain things need finalising, such as paying the EU what we supposedly owe them, something that's argued in Parliament. Reece Mogg, and some other MP's have also said we don't owe the EU any money and don't have to pay it. I find it interesting how the EU manages to come up with 39 Billion owed. So why can't the UK just cut all ties in March 2019? The UK could cut all ties, but Theresa May and others would like to avoid such a "cliff-edge" where current regulations on things like cross-border trade and travel between the UK and the EU ends overnight. They think it would harm the economy and cause chaos at the UK's borders. As they say, it'll be alright on the night.
Don't think that's right DBC, we have strict quarantine and animal meat / vegetation laws. Countries can't just import their meat and 2 veg into the UK without being checked for disease or hidden insects and little animals. Didn't seem to cause chaos before we joined the Common Market.
This woman has to be the most stubborn woman in UK at moment with the deepest psychological problems possible. EU says they won't renegotiate the deal......................She went begging...............I bet she's took, and spent the money Soros give her.
Under the EU any meat can be imported because all of our regulations align and food is checked locally. Any imports from elsewhere are subject to checks.
So our and the Eu regulations are the same,so why do you think we will change them ? you really think we will change them just to cause a problem ? you remoaners come up with dafter things every day.
Because if we leave the EU we are no longer working under those rules. So yes we can maintain the same regulations as the EU but we have to do a custom check on the goods because we would no longer have a free trade agreement. I'm beginning to think you might not have thought this through....
We will still have the same rules and no we don't have to do any checks we don't want to,they no longer will make our rules. We do what we want not what they say,I'm begining to think you don't understand what no longer a member means.
Great idea - we won't do any checks but then that means that we are not allowed to do any checks for goods coming in from any other country. Those are the WTO rules. Still want to do that?
We'll try again Trade without discrimination 1. Most-favoured-nation (MFN): treating other people equally Under the WTO agreements, countries cannot normally discriminate between their trading partners. Grant someone a special favour (such as a lower customs duty rate for one of their products) and you have to do the same for all other WTO members. So if you turn round and say we are not going to do custom checks on goods from the EU then under WTO rules you can not start doing custom checks on goods from countries outside the EU. As that would be discriminating between trading partners. It's almost like there's a reason only 1 country in the world trades solely on WTO rules.....
We won't trade on WTO only either, now let me see if I can make this very simple for you,if we have say 1,000 trucks of Beef a year coming through Dover and we decide to check only 5 and it takes 15 minutes a truck do you really think the UK will starve due to 5 trucks being held up by 15 minutes ? We are doing customs checks and abiding by every WTO rule, now if we decide to check 9/10 trucks from say Columbia we can also do that.We are doing customs checks for everyone but due to us having the same rules as the EU we don't need to check as often, there is lots of exceptions to WTO rules,we decide which to agree to same as the rest of the world does. There is no such rule where if you check one truck you have to check them all,or don't check one and you can't check any.Stop making it up.
We can not strike up trade deals with other countries until we leave the EU. If we leave the EU with no deal we automatically go to WTO rules as we will have no trade deals with any other country. How long do you think it takes to make a new trade deal?
