I thought Henderson was excellent tonight, however I don't think we played as we have with him as number six and two box to box. It was much more fluid, he didn't just stand Infront of the centre backs, all three midfielders seemed to rotate, be a bit more free with their position. It definitely paid off, the best I've seen the three of them play together.
Well... tbh... bar the usually desperate attempt at the end... I was surprised at Napoli... one goal would have killed us or at least gave the possibility of panic at trying to get the three.... They allowed us to play more than I thought .... tbf we were back to the full press a lot today. Henderson plays totally "risk free" when at the base but move him forward slightly and his game opens up noticeably. He will never be top level by any means but is a useful squad player.
