As a result of being the only one to tip the Hornets result correctly our highest scorer this week was our guest from the BBC For most of us it was a medium to low scoring round, however Chris was the highest Hornet with 113 which takes him into top place ahead of theghost. The 2 of them are stretching their lead over the chasing pack, with Frenchie moving into 3rd.​

Apologies for the lateness of the table this week. This is the reason why I avoid monday night games, unless the Horns are in action. All change at the top again with theghost retaking top place by a whisker. Charlie has closed the gap a little with an impressive 112, with Fez also coming up well. Highest score of the round was Barry with 136. Elsewhere quite moderate scoring. The top 5 appear to be pulling clear of the chasing pack, but the rest of the table looks very close.​

Hi Cologne, I was wondering what has happened to Brian, he seems to have missed the last 2 predictions. Once again thank you for doing this.

 

Brian seems to be having logging into the site problems. We are on the case.

 

Not much I can do about this Frenchie. Obviously if the site were down for a couple of days prior to the weekend then I would cancel the round, but in the case of log in difficulties for one poster there's not much I can do, other than 'business as usual'. Posters can PM me if they are worried about the possibility of this and I have no problems with tips being sent to me via e-mail, if the necessity arises. I would hesitate to give out my mail address on a thread like this, but can do it via PM. if asked.

 

I was surprised to see I had scored 0 points. Especially as I had predicted 10 perfect scores, but somehow my submission got lost ! Lack of concentration - a bit like our defence on occasion. Still, onward and upward!

No change at the top with theghost still leading, though still very close up there. Frenchie and Charlie have also closed the gap considerably. Highest score of the round was 143 by Andy, which jumps him up into 6th - tough luck on Brian for scoring 110 yet dropping a place as a result. Our other 100+ score was by Theo, with 120. Elsewhere it was mostly moderate scoring, not helped by late goals going in at the wrong grounds ! Andy is beating his kids at the moment which is not very family minded of him

I have just checked up on all the totals and have found a mistake - I have just updated Brian's score to 155, because of a couple of unique scores which I had missed.

Our Christmas table looks like this: Theghost has increased his lead at the top with the highest score of the round, and leads for Christmas. Brian has moved up into 3rd with the second highest score of 113. Our visitor from the BBC also topped the 100 mark due to getting the Watford score correct, and so has crept into mid table. Elsewhere, very few Christmas presents going around. A happy Christmas to one and all. Our next round will be next weekend as I do not have the time to do midweek fixtures as well.​

All change at the top going into the new year. On a day of rather low scoring Chris made hay with the largest score of 112, to move into poll position going into the new year. This was largely thanks to Romelu Lukaku's fourth goal at Old Trafford, and a unique score. Frenchie moved up into third with the second highest score of 98. Elsewhere it was very moderate scoring for most of us. I don't have the time to do a midweek round and so our attention now moves to the FA Cup Predictions League next weekend.

League Table ​

A round of moderate scoring at the top end of the table means that there are very few changes this week. Andy has moved into 6th, but otherwise the top 8 remain the same. The biggest changes happened in mid table with Zen scoring 141 and Barry 133, moving them just outside the top 8. Our expert from the BBC is now doing quite well in joint 9th, which could even be improved depending on the Man City-Wolves result tomorrow. The third highest scorer was Yorkie with 107, and, through a fluke, the 4th highest score of 98 by Hackney actually led to a drop of one place due to the high scoring of Zen and Barry.​

Another low scoring round for us - just the time for someone to make hay, which NZ promptly did with a score of 124, moving him from 11th up to 7th. Elsewhere there was little movement. Chris and theghost are still the frontrunners, with the gap neither growing or closing. All in all still quite close for the lateness of the season. There is now a break for the FA Cup 4th Round next weekend. Just a reminder that from the quarter final stage onwards our two leagues will run concurrently - so some weekends we will be tipping on both.
