We have a huge game this week - one of the most important of the season so far. After that we play Utd.
Would you swap any Man U player for ours in a combined team?, as things stand I wouldn't choose any of theirs ahead of ours, our defence, midfield and attack are far better than theirs. I think Carra was being diplomatic rather than honest. Based on this season Allison would be ahead of De Gea who has been distinctly average. Midfield, could make an argument for Matic and Pogba, our midfield certainly hasn’t been brilliant yet. Martial v Mane... Toss up really. Mane hasn’t be great but got some goals. Martial hasn’t played much but went on a good goal scoring run a few games back
Agree totally about Allison, and agree with organic about Matic, but I fail to see how you could make an argument for Pogba, he's the most overrated player ever in the Premier League. He a lazy twat, it's not like his strolling around in midfield is bolstering their attack or protecting their defence, he basically pops in a shot every now and again or occasionally plays a Hollywood pass. Nah, our midfield contribute to a bigger and better degree to our team and don't focus more on haircuts and instagram than games like Pogba does for their team.
This The only downside is if he starts to earn his corn they will climb up the table. Not enough to challenge us but enough to challenge for a top 4 place.
He obviously got skill but he's become a law unto himself because of his status and because of the hype since his move to Utd, if he does knuckle down and his performances improve utd's current form and league placing his critics will have been right all along, and he would deserve a greater share of the blame for their current 6th place. Let's hope he and the rest of the mancs don't raise their game on Sunday.
Re. Pogba - I've noticed that when a player is focussed on as being *useless* they usually score so for counter balance I'm just putting it out there how poor Mané and Firmino have been
