an old wives tale, very little of Eratosthenes literature survived the fire of the library of Alexandria and there is absolutely no record of this experiment, its a cool story but unfortunately most people dont actually think about it, the just accept it, as is standard in this day and age the results of the two sticks experiment do not prove a globe in any case, the same results are expected on a flat surface with a localized sun
