Well yes if the issue was as important to the British people. Just being stubborn isn’t a good enough reason imo. Extremely confident as of today that the issues are being resolved to suit the true will of the people. You can put down your opinion to leave the EU as just bad luck because the tidies couldn’t or wouldn’t deliver it .. Surprise they ****ed you over that is the Tory way and as the evil shepherd they know exactly how to fool the sheep. I fully expect the markets especially the £ to show signs of a wobble now and again the sheep will shut themselves

So Brexiteers will be left feeling failure etc at least now they get to understand exactly how **** this country is

I've been misrepresented about this "just tell them to **** off" for quite a while now, but hey ho.

It's not the people who have lost sight of the prize. It's ridiculously obvious that the remainer Government and influential civil servants never, ever intended to implement the leave vote.
Democracy is being destroyed by this lying rabble and there will be hell to pay for many years to come imo.

Stupid comment utter bollocks from a Brexiteer
Now who is spreading project fear
    1000 years
Thankfully you have been proven completely wrong throughout the thread apart from the rise of the European Army which was a theory plastered all over the internet

EU citizens come to London you are very welcome here plus not much else to see in other parts of the UK anyway. Yes some great Northern cities also plus if you want unbeatable countryside then visit Scotland or the Wonderful Isle of Ireland

Avoid some areas of the UK where you will find a antique nationalism as you would in any country.
These people however aren’t dangerous ... they may sulk a bit but that’s life .

So, let's get this one straight - when you write, "just tell them to **** off" - you don't mean it?
You see, it is a strategy in negotiation, one normally played out as a very dangerous tactic, but often effective.
The irony appears that perhaps the UK didn't quite realise what it would take to succesfully get what the majority voted for.
Democracy is being destroyed because you have politicians trying to please just enough people to be able to get in next time.
And right now, they haven't a clue of what and who to please - simple as that.

Should have just told them to **** off!!!

The remainers don't care about democracy and will not be worried about the consequences. Like some on here they will just blame the Tories. History tells us that if you don't carry out the will of the people it will end in tears.

I don’t understand what May has to gain, except postponing a defeat, by putting off this vote. Surely if she wants the EU to reopen negotiations she would be better armed with ‘Parliament won’t accept this’ evidence? Bizarre, weak, incompetent.

To be fair you have used that term Col ... it’s yours take responsibility for it. Yes the government has let the Brexiteer down but it’s time to also question why? Winning a democratic vote two years ago is respected 100% by me albeit by a fine margin

I believe May supporters cannot ever say the woman hasn’t tried to deliver the impossible

We knew it was impossible simply because of how the UK has grown to 2016 ... thank heavens it happened in fact regardless that I lost

However we know more now and that is why I feel confident that generally people will see we need to fight from within the EU

The issues around Brexit can all be solved without leaving and have all been proven to be possible

Democracy has to naturally evolve and in this I believe it has. It will hurt British Pride for sure but at least it has shown it was a sin all along anyway

In the final act she falls on her sword G
She knew the role when she was given it
How anyone could seriously think May was ever PM material is beyond me

She has played a brilliant convincing role imo maybe too much as she could have bollocksed up the Cons

Now she goes off to pasture but will be recalled soon as the Minister for pencils

    agree.
Some Tory MP (Brexitier) said he believes that she must be going back to the EU because she will get concessions. I don't believe that. Why would they now, when it looks good for them?
I was thinking (hoping) she would resign but I am not that lucky.
Knowing her she will spin some crap and kick the can down the road until after Christmas. Flood the media with more project fear and wear down the people.

So who determines whether an issue is important ?

And general elections aren't deemed important ?

And what would be deemed an acceptable majority ?

Paul, sometimes I feel you post rubbish just to illicit a response ??

    That is completely unworkable.

I don't know what he said as I have put him on 30 days ignore but I can imagine.
I notice the Irish PM is having his 5 minutes of fame. It will be interesting to see how important he is when we leave and the EU collapses?

Yep, and I carefully explained months ago what I meant.
The EU were being completely intransigent (and still are) so I wanted us to walk away and tell them we were leaving without a deal. This would have brought us a decent deal as they would have caved in imo. They were putting out false stories, insulting our negotiators and refusing to give an inch. This made me angry and I found it very insulting. With this arrogance they deserved to be told to **** off.
I've since said that I would like to see a softish deal which at least gives something to the 48%.
It was always portrayed by the likes of you two, plus stroller that I wanted just a hard brexit deal. This wasn't ever the case. I would much prefer a good deal for all, but the way to achieve this was to play hard ball and make the EU believe we would walk away. Our remain political elite never intended to do this!

I have been tempted, however, my logic always is, I would prefer to find faults in the logic of opposing views, than just continually just nod with views you agree with

I had a similar thought. And my immediate second thought was that perhaps the magic 48 number has finally been reached and she's been given some notice to postpone the vote? Who knows...

The biggest sin is that for 3 very important years, the UK has been nowhere to be seen on the World political stage, when it was very much needed.
What a waste of energy and time for such an important country.

Many important issues at home ignored because of this bollocks as well. Housing, care of the elderly, welfare/universal credit, climate change, the future of power generation, transport - roads and rail, surging crime to name but a few.

That's funny Danish because all I have heard is that Brexitiers still think we have an empire when actually we are a small island that needs to stick with the 27 to exist?
