My mate sent this to his mum last year and asked if he needed more lights. His mum and him had half a dozen text exchanges before she realised it wasn't his front room!
Tree up yesterday, all the decos done. Spent the afternoon putting stuff away and trying to coordinate all the extensions and multi plugs so all the outdoor and Indoor tree lights work and I can switch the outside tree lights off without turning off the house Wi-Fi. Which I now have! Then hand ball moved half a ton of wood out of the way in the back garden so I could move the MoHo from the front to back drive. Then the festoon lights could go out the front and be seen. Been ****ing at it in other words. Having a well deserved Cruzcampo with the fire box lit!!
Not sure how this years going to go, in terms of decorations. Unfortunately my father-in-law passed away a couple of weeks ago and as a result the misses is not feeling very festive. However, this could change after the funeral on Thursday, so next weekend could be like Chiefs this weekend.

How much roughly do you normally spend on Christmas? I'm talking presents, booze, food the whole lot Think this is going to be my cheapest Xmas ever so was trying to think about how much I normally spend
All decorations are up most things have been bought ready so it's just wrapping that needs doing and the big shop.
I'm not going out shopping over Christmas. Anyway I hate that most shops make people come into work over the Christmas period because we can't manage for a few days.
It's the people who don't want to work but are forced into it that I feel sorry for. Do a big shop and chill for a few days.
If they want to work that's fine but a lot of companies now make in compulsory to work over Christmas and that's driven by people going to the shops on the holidays. As a nation we should get away from this need to shop 24/7 imo.
