In 2016 the UK voted to leave, as we head towards 2019 there is still no guarantee we will leave and not be forced back to the polls. In July 2015 the Greeks voted against austerity measures by 61% - that vote was over-ruled with harsher measures In 2008 Ireland rejected the Lisbon treaty, they rejected it by 53% and were told to go back and vote again in 2009 In 2005 the TCE was rejected by French and the Dutch in a referendum, it was replaced by the Lisbon treaty I'm sure you can see a trend here, as i've always said on this forum and from the day i voted to leave, i never believed the EU will allow us to leave, I still don't today.
I know leave voters at heart that voted remain because of they fear that was part onto them if a leave vote was successful. That works two ways.
Weird that because earlier this year the MOD pledged £1.8b to building thousands of new homes for personnel as they are well short of housing.
I was a bit more optimistic than that, but at least a generation and I didn’t want that, especially for my kids.
He said we wouldn't be able to tell if Brexit was successful for 50 years. I would have guessed at about 20 years.
Always makes me laugh when government opposition state it's taken us over two years to reach an agreement, they overlook the minor detail it took 45 years to write all the rules. Unless someone can prove to me that all EU rules existed in 1973...thought not.
Yeah, I know all about them. They've got a Nazi attitude at times. Horrible ****s, I hope and believe that I'll live to see the day when that organisation crumbles. Hopefully when we leave it'll spark a mass exodus. With the rise of anti-EU parties right across Europe, hopefully it won't be long
If you truly believe that then you are a lost cause. The people involved are/were career politicians not just some bloke who made a few quid playing the markets. They knew full well what they were up against, yes they blustered to the news outlets but don't ever think they didn't know what they were fighting
Does anyone know how many people over the age of 18 in 1973 have died in the UK over the last 45 years....fookers popped off and left us in this mess.
