So what look are you lads rocking nowadays? Any hipsters aka ****ers amongst you? I've got the grade 0 on top...grade 1 beard with a nice goatee...sexy as **** if I may say so myself. Greying a bit...I am 42. I suppose you have to know what suits you instead of following trends. Any of you get hair cuts that suit teenagers just because you got a good head of hair? Good hair products anyone?...I'm looking for something for my beard..to give it the best treatment n care possible. I had mine cut yesterday, the barber (an old school woman) has took on a young lad. He done mine, and i was impressed, no **** about about. He even thinned it out using a cut throat razor. I nearly said 'na it's ok i'll wait'. But it's good to see young'uns not being scared. Will defo use him again.
Used to have a french crop, zero on sides and like a two/ three on top. Hair's been thinning for years to the point where in January I just ****ed it off, zero all over, saved loads of dough now though as I don't need to go barbers. As for facial hair, usually have a small beard as I'm too baby faced without one. Sometimes I'll grow it if I can be arsed to maintain it, if I do, I use stuff by Mo Bros, cheap but good products and they went on Dragon's Den this year and won a joint offer from two dragons.
Get yourself some beard oil (I get mine from Sephora when away on trips as they don’t have UK store) as it makes all the difference. I have had a beard since before the hipster ****s came along, and like you I keep it short but a full beard use wax on hair
High fade, have it forward though cos I’m not on Geordie Shore. Beard is ****e cos I got patchy bald bits in it, so I just keep that short.
After being short back and sides with varying length on top for as long as I can remember I’ve gone for a 1 on top and considering shorter with a fade on the sides. Much less hassle and looks better than having to put wax in. Beard goes in phases depending on if I can be arsed with it and eventually I’ll decide to chop it off but it’s probably around a 3 or 4 right now. Always an awkward moment at the barber when he asks where I’m from as you’d probably guess Turkish and I’m not going to explain to an Iranian bloke holding a blade my Jewish heritage.
Ahh the wizards of north London. Do the Hasidic Jews look down their noses at normal Jews or do you all get along? Always wondered whether normal Jewish folk think the Hasidic ones are mental..
I’d say 90% don’t care and are nice people. They’d turn a blind eye to most of us driving on a Friday or not having two ****ing sets of cutlery. Mostly the younger ones. 10%, more so older, will take the view that other Jews have the chance to be like them and spurn it but that minority will have so little contact outside their group they aren’t really relevant any more.
