I thought you’d of locked yourself in the basement with a bottle of scotch and your model train set after I knocked you out the cup?
Don’t worry too much, Citeh lost today so they’ll be looking for a new manager soon!! Guardiola will need a new job. . Ralph only gets six games before the pressure builds on him, you see. Seriously though you’re right the quality is so bad as to be unbelievable in our defensive positions. I think he may take at least three games to find out which of the bunch are the least damaging to the cause. That gets us to the ‘window’ and we simply have to get in the market for a top quality loan or more at least!!
Ralph H seems like a breath of fresh air though. Really honest post match, straight talking. Reminds me a lot of Koeman. I have big hopes for him.
I hope you enjoy it after your taxi service ends for the day. Have a great Sunday FLT!! How much did our Saints spend in the summer transfer window? Compare that with You Know Who ? (Shhh) People still think I support them.
Well, I hate to be 'that' guy but I'm surprised by the general reaction on here and think people are going way overboard. It was a game between two dogshit sides in poor conditions, did anyone really expect anything but a scrappy affair settled by the odd goal? I can already see what Ralph is trying to get from the team though obviously it will take time and we need a few windows to get the squad more suitable for it. I can't imagine he would have played Austin if he didn't have to and at times we did seem to move the ball quicker n get into good positions. We had a 15 minute spell in the first half and a longer sustained one in the second where we played some decent stuff and actually got at their defence a bit. Saying all of that though the defence was utterly atrocious and I don't think I've seen so many basic errors and misplaced passes before. Seemed better second half though bar mistake for goal and another (jack?) We know that defence is our biggest issue and think we need to settle on a back 4 and stick to it until we can bring someone in. Think Ralph will definitely get us more organised though and we'll even see improvements week by week, bring a cb or two in and get everyone fit and we'll have enough to stay up imo. Sorry for long post... Oh and the fans who booed the players walking over at the end can **** clean off, don't need ****s like you around.
It’ll be straight to bed after collections later. At least I’ll be ok for my bike right tomorrow! You have a good Sunday too Ides.
Ok, no win, no 3 points, not even a draw against one of our relegation rivals, not a great performance but there is always a positive to find in a match. For today it's I didn't go. Sorry Tom, TLL,Archers etc. I didn't go.
Oh yeah and I thought the Armstrong pen shout was a nailed on dive at the time abd was right in front of us, wasn't a natural fall at all. Is the second people are referring to the one on Redmond, I thought his ankle was definitely kicked but seemed to go down late?
When I think of last year´s relegated teams, I cannot help but think of WBA!! Were they already preparing at the time to bounce back at the first attempt? Not a bad plan at all if this was the case. They might or might not get one of the automatic places in a very, very competitive división, but I feel they will at least be in the play-offs.
Meh, it was a **** game and **** ****ing weather too, got absolutely soaked through walking to the ground and then of course we lost again. I'm getting pretty used to that part though tbh and it was an easy drive there n back and I didn't actually leave too disappointed really. Just frustrated at that moment of idiocy and tth fans who booed. All part of the fun I suppose, my 5th away of the season and we've lost 4 and won one (Brighton in the cup), 4 new grounds out of those too. Derby most likely next, fancy an away cup win to a championship side again, up the ****ing Saints
