Maybe we had a vision, we’re going to win the next and make it 4 on the bounce, just looking back it’s 5 wins out of 6
No need to be like that. I like statistics as much as anyone and I also enjoy debating about our club. Apologies if you don't like my style of posting but just like everyone I have my point of view. I try to be balanced about how we are performing and at this moment in time there is a lot of room for improvement. The good thing is we keep on winning even without scoring enough goals in relation to the amount of possession we have in games. At the end of the day it's about opinions and there is absolutely no need to take umbridge if mine differs from yours.
We thank you for your contributing banter Duncan (very suitable name) please feel free to come on our board at end of season and take your punishment like a man.......
I only saw the first half. Shackleton took up some great positions and did well .... more out and our winger than wingback! We played some nice stuff early on and should have been ahead before they scored. Phillips at fault for the goal.. mind both him and Jansson made errors for it.
Shackleton had a good game, he's a RB waiting in wings. Will get better with game time experience, but we need to watch if he's consistent or not.
Like you, I think there are at least 2 sides with better attacking options than we have available at present, ie. more direct and more clinical. I believe we have lost a bit of the fluidity in passing that we had earlier in the season, the pass and move triangles are telegraphed, laboured or gone altogether in some games - today, Douglas/Klich/Hernandez just couldn't play through the QPR right-sided defenders all game, and looked like they had run out of ideas, hence much of our attacking play coming through the middle. Shackleton is game as a badger, but he and Alioski together on the right were far too lightweight and got out-muscled time after time in the second half. Without the penalty it's difficult to see where more goals were coming from, but we should have been 2 or 3 up by the time they scored - hence the clinical reference above. Having said that, we've now taken 12 points from 12 available since West Brom, so we are doing something very right. It's great to be Leeds at the minute, but I just never feel confident that we're simply going to overwhelm the opposition - I bet a lot of Villa fans, for example, do feel that way. Hey ho, 2 points gained on Boro, Villa & WBA, and 3 on Florist. I'll just have to suck it up I suppose.
Love your posts mate I use irony and a bit of tongue in cheek sorry you dont pick it up, my bad. You were right today again but wow if Roofe had have done his job We would have been 4 up by half time mate. When you thinkmof the injuries and know we have Pearce to come back in as well as Nessy and still have 5 or 6 kids who can play in this first team you can only say Bielsa is the dogs. Ayling, Izzy, Bamford, Berardi, Cooper all to come in wow
Makes you wonder if Bielsa will want Lewie Coyle back? Happy to report Malik Wiks scored 2 goals today and Ekuban scored again thats back to back matches
The year Leicester went up was on the back of a lot of 'ground out' results, resilience rather than always free-flowing football, as was the dog botherers, bardiff and many others. Only Wolves & Newcastle (first time round) can I think that have smashed it. We are picking up wins despite injuries and that bodes well.
Know nothing about your game - just got back from ours and saw the result, but well done. We had a little good news ourselves this afters. ..........
Never ceases to amaze me,how many Leeds fans turn on a game and expect to see Barcelona many teams would drop points playing in those conditions today, ask Boro and Forest about it,and if Villa fans expect to hammer teams every week they must be very disillusioned with being 10 point behind a team and fans who don't think like that.
Last season this same team would have lost,we were a fair weather team who could only play in the warm sunshine, everyone said the warm country players couldn't cope with an English winter, well how wrong were you. Don't tell me,none of you can remember saying it now can you.
