SILVER FOREVER is the best bumper horse I have seen in this country (or Wales for that matter) so far this season.

Really surprised she isn’t an even money shot. Tomorrow I like quite a few, but will wait and see what the ground is like.

Agree Oddy, she has a race under her belt and Elliots always come on for their first run of the season.

The John Durkan always brings back bittersweet memories for me because that lovely horse Flemenstar won it and I thought he could go right to the top. Famously ran out of steam in that memorable Lexus and was never quite the same horse again. But in the John Durkan Chase he romped home from Rubi Light and Sir Des Champs in a memorable performance. I can't help thinking they should have left him with Peter "sexy" Casey <ok>

Same as Oddy, I remember cheering him home with all my mates, great day for old Peter 'Viagra' Casey, he was a great character god bless him.

Great day yesterday another great day today at Huntingdon. Unfortunately can’t be there in person but won’t stop me putting up a couple of losers. First up the 2.25 bottom weight rene’s girl gets the nod cd winner in competitive renewal.cant see past sticklers bumper horse and bags groove in the 12.50 but the one that really takes my eye is great hall for Micky Quinn. Not normally known for jumpers this ones a cd winner a few years ago and pretty good on the flat in the 1.55.

Huntingdon 2.25pm

Quite a competitive looking affair. I am quite interested to see how Tea for Two does today. He is a favourite of mine and has recently had a wind op. I think the distance is a bit short for him but he could run well. Likely to be a warm up as I assume he will go to the King George after which he always runs well in.

Charbel has a big chance and has the best form on offer but I worry about whether the exploits against Politologue might take it's toll a bit.

Josses Hill has recently had a wind op and this is a race he has won before. I have a feeling this is his Gold cup so I am expecting Henderson to have him fully tuned up for this. Has his ground too so I am backing him.

Josses Hill 11/1 each way

I like days when I only fancy one horse. Today isnt one of those days so it could be carnage for my betting accounts.
12:15 Trigger Nicholl. Backed at much bigger odds last night. Is there a yard in Isles better at improving horses than the good Dr? I think not.
12:50 Bags Groove. Expect this one to be near top class in the novice chasing ranks this season.
1:20 Brewinupastorm. Loved his bumper debut. Was subsequently well beaten in a listed race by Acey Milan but this fella could be a real prospect over hurdles.
Special Acceptance. Been tracking this one. A lovely big chasing type who is going to need time to fulfill all his potential. I expect him to run a big race today but his future surely lies over bigger obstacles.
1:55 Sparkleandshine. A literal reading of his novice hurdle win has him around 10lbs well in I believe. Has problems settling but if young Charlie can get him into a nice rhythm I dont think they will see which way he goes.
2:25 Charbel. Of course. Lovely animal. Gave Politologue a real run for his money and that puts him head and shoulders above these in my book.
3:00 Silver Forever. Hugely impressive on bumper debut and could be top drawer.

Head home before the last as The Boss' Dream, Dalkadam and Arthurs Reuben all have some appeal of sorts.

I’ve done three of these in doubles and trebles

I like Eight and Bob in the last at Cork 3/1: going up in trip will suit and Willie always comes home with a few winners at this venue. Yard has been pretty quiet so far this season but I would expect that to change today although I am still sticking with Shattered Love to beat Min with mares allowance in hand.

kelso,12 30:

barring accidents, this looks very much a rematch between SENOR LOMBARDY and donnas diamond, who were second and 4th last time out, with the former beaten a countrymile at hexham.but he may not have been right on the day,so can take revenge today,as hes got some nice hurdling form from last season..

Stick - re Sparkleandshine one of our syndicate knows someone at the yard and has had a tip for it. Apparently owners are backing it and expect a really big run. Good luck with it...
