Embarrassing result for Bowyer and the well rested players. Actually, it’s pathetic So glad I didn’t go. We will do well to scramble 6th this season.
It will be interesting to hear Bowyer’s comments after today’s game. Looking at the league table, to be polite...we are treading water.
I think people should remember that Bowyer has been a manager for barely 6 months. If we were to get in the play-offs I would consider this a good season.
Even though it wouldn’t be. We are Charlton, not Barnet. We lose another 2,000 fans every year we stay in this pox league.
Sorry, but I must disagree. We got into the play-offs last season - and all that did was raise false hopes and expose how weak our squad really was. This time around it will be exactly the same unless a new owner comes in before January and properly strengthens the squad. A good season at this level for a Club the size* of Charlton is promotion. But no investment means no chance of that. *or at least the size we used to be. Another couple of seasons under this owner and the decline & adaptation to lower league life may never be reversed.
No need to apologise Mr Lardiman. The place is a total mess and we have two novices on the touchline. It could be an awful lot worse. I do get what you say, to a lesser extent Mr van Gerwen.
Too easy to keep banging on about owner , yes he is poop , but look at our squad compared to Blackpool’s , no excuse we have on paper a much better squad and we managed to find a way to lose , we are not getting the best out of the players , the winning run masks a side not playing great , Burton game was a complete steal . This squad has far more quality than teams we struggle against

we were poor today. i'm not sure of the advantage of resting players now as we have plain and obvious weeknesses in our first 11. we have no left back at all and it's been square pegs in round holes. we have no width and no bite in the middle. we controlled the second half but did not look threatening. we still cant take corners, or throw ins. we pass backwards too often and are overly reliant on taylor. we're being sussed by teams who scout.
