Which reminds me of a "Big Lebowski" quote! "That's, like, just his opinion man!"

He's no idea he's just spouting drivel with no hard facts? Fact! :)

Given what they've done for the city they're entitled to it IMO

There would be no football being played in it if it wasn't for the Allems and consequently the loss maker that it currently is would just become an even bigger burden on the already stretched resources available in the public sector.

Give it to them, cut council cost, make money on the rates, allow development to occur, create jobs......everyone wins!

Oh one glaring thing stands out in the article, this clown states he's afraid votes will be lost if the stadium is given to the Allams! FFS, you were voted in to make the right decisions for the development and improvement of the city not to save you're own fecking job!!

If it wasn't for private enterprise there wouldn't be a public sector and poverty would prevail, don't people understand this???

If you feel that way, do something about it and stand in the next local elections.

My bro-in-law who works for HCC says there has been no further progress following a couple of rounds of talks between the Allams and the Council.

I would but unfortunatly I work away so am not available to attend council meetings, plus as I wouldn't toe the party line I certainly wouldn't get nominated by any of the three partys

I agree with Percy, it's pretty stupid saying that. Having a tight fisted/ piss poor excuse for a council is one thing comparing them to Hitler and that ilk is foolish.

That's not a dictatorship, it's facism (which is essentially the government we do have in this country :( )
