Saw this 20m ouch https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/12/...ed-as-club-linked-with-move-for-bradley-dack/
Bet PS will follow this one with interest... Saw something a while ago that Leicester had expressed interest as well, though you never know whether these reports are coming from the clubs or from the agent. He seems to have adapted to the discipline that's required these days to be a good player, but will still need the guidance of a good manager and coach to progress further. Best of luck to him. He stuck with Gills a few years ago when his head could have been turned by other offers and we've already been rewarded for that. If he goes for anything like £20m then he should be awarded the freedom of Priestfield.
Trying to think back but don't Maddog get credit for bringing this lad to life. Despite my annoyance on what Martin Allen did to our youth team, he did at least bring Dack in to the first team during his reign and from there he went from strength to strength. Many will remember my arguments that Dack was far better than Cody, certainly controversial comments at the time, but now i will leave the pound signs to do the rest of the talking. Anyway question....will we get anything out of any future multi million deal?
Yes Mad Dog did bring him in. When he left Taylor didn t rate him so went back in the reserves. When Taylor left Dack became the main man.
I'm not so sure it's that Taylor didn't rate him, it was more than Taylor always played him wide left as he never played a system with a number 10 type player. Don't forget Taylor also used to tell us big Bayo Akinfenwa could never play two full games in a week which was also completely untrue as he's still playing week in week out a good 5 years later.
Are you telling me after all this time PegLeg, that Taylor was not a very good manager Although to be fair, Cody was only at his best when he played alongside Bayo....I'm off to do some fishing now
I'm certain he wouldn't have gone without a sell on clause, and would think it'll be between 10% and 20%
