I was just stalling while I found the interview where he explained it, https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018...hasenhuettl-pre-cardiff-city-southampton-1819 08.15 mins.
Bertrand’s omission has been odd. He missed a game because of suspension and hasn’t been seen since? Unless I missed something.
It was said that he had a back issue that they were trying to manage, but had been subject to a set back, it may be one of those "convenient" excuses covering other reasons, but if it is a serious problem it could certainly be a worry for the future.
His form hasn't been great for quite a while now, I wonder if the extra responsibility of being the Captain has affected him at all? He doesn't strike me as being a natural leader. We definately need him to get back to his best as he is top class.
Which just happened to coincide with his suspension. Unless it has been plaguing him previously and it was decided his suspension was a good time to tackle it. Don’t know what it could be covering up? Leaving in January is the only thing?
By the sounds of Ralph, he’ll love Ryan. Back to him bombing down the wing, like he did under Koeman.
Indeed. But if we've had an offer, it would have to be very good for us to keep him clean. Not like we have loads of options is it.
