Love a new manager bounce, but anything could happen....without being an indicator of what is to come. Really don't want to fall to 5 points behind Cardiff, so a draw would be acceptable...as long as we get the equaliser.
Yeah agreed, one of the best nights since SMS opened. ffs was that 15 years ago ! no wonder my joints are creaking.
Mrs S's first Saints gameas well. I think this sealed the deal with her I wonder where we'd both be now if we'd lost 4-0???? She'd probably be at Liverpool, where all our greatest talent goes
I don't know 'Out' of what exactly? Their both 'out' of form 'Out' as in injured? 'Out' of ideas. Yes I would say so 'Out' of time... Yes its half way through the season soon
Cardiff wil be looking at the table thinking they could go 5 points clear of us if they win which makes me think they wont (win) as footballl is a **** like that
I don't think expectations will be that high after two days tbf. A result would be nice, and we certainly need the points; but any evidence of a change in attitude would be enough for tomorrow's crowd I suspect
https://www.skysports.com/football/news/15205/11572924/paul-mersons-premier-league-predictions Merson has gone for a Cardiff win like Lawro.
I am not sure if enough change can be achieved in 1.5 days training at Staplewood. It's not a school team afterall, these are professional footballers paid to play football and we have lots of players to chose from and the manager even commented on this point yesterday. Hint Hint (you lazy *****) Cardiff are on a good run. That said we have travelled to Wales well recently and who could forget that we sent the 'other' welsh team down last season I am thinking a win would be really good, a draw would be ok and a loss would be tricky all things considered. Come on You Swans. I mean Saints - sorry No more posts now until 4.30 PM tomorrow from anyone. Thanks Thread Closed Its open again Closed Open Shut up
Hard to assess in such a short time. I suspect that he will be paying a lot of attention to the stats on the players....seeing where they are now and where they might end up on fitness.
Were I him, I'd not complicate this game too much. Stick the nicely rested Lemina back in the middle. The rest will know what is expected of them, if places in the team are to be kept. But we just really need to avoid defeat. That has to be priority. Hard work starts next week with the changes.
